My 3B deadlocks so the only way in with a dead battery is via the boot, and then working out how the funk to release the seat backs to crawl though the car and pop the bonnet. Interior handles are also deadlocked with no power. It's certainly secure... I really like that red estate, a pre-facelift one like this is about the only thing I'd consider replacing my saloon with. Interested! As for boost tailing off, mine does similar, it can sometimes be the actuator staying fully open and the ECU getting upset at too much boost apparently - I should get mine fixed at that lovely TDI torque is a lot of fun HMC and mk2_craig

NorthernMonkey
Got to be an Escort cabby? Actually, scratch that. A bit of Googling reveals they were also responsible for those bloody horrible Micra coupe convertible efforts. That’s where my money lies* *not literally. If it is one of those, you’re on your own when it comes to flogging it on next week. That Omega was the last “ work” car I owned that didn’t have aircon also the last with a petrol engine. Simpler times and I still earned good money with it.
