Joey spud
Top purchase right there, yummy indeed. If you haven't already get yourself a grease gun for frequent lubing of the rear radius arms. I think these cars are going to get a bit of a cult following, with some slightly wider wheels (alloy of steels painted white) and a bit of fluid let out of the suspension to improve their stance they are a cool little car. There is a young lad here that has a light blue K plate one as his daily but alas it has sod all exhaust on it and if i catch up with him i will cuss him bad. P.S is it a twin cam ? egg and RobT

egg
initial driving impressions will be familiar, you sit on it, not in it - it bounces - a lot. Steering wheel is very skew whiff, tracks straight, but wheel a long way out! Brakes are.....kind of there, with a shove, but a soft pedal to start with. Needs a clean inside etc etc. Nippy 0-30, you're in top gear at 35. No stereo (not really an issue). Clutch a little snappy, but not unusual for this era I don't think. I'll get some engine bay shots (bit* oily) later. SUV's can't see you. Too smoll. Reminds me of both my Fiat Uno and Skoda Favorit (esteemed company) BL Bloke, BorniteIdentity, Broadsword and 4 others

richardmorris
Nothing car related really today - mercedes started instantly after a week and ran up the road to waitrose. RobT
I now haz mismatched but uncreased door. Bollocks to Storm Dennis. I was determined to get this done today. Old one off Quite hard work lifting and aligning Saab door panels on your own. They are heavy... I had to leave the dent in the wing (and do some extra expert* panel beating) as the new door was fouling it, so the original hinges must be slightly out. Patina innit. I didn't get time to swap the door handles and integral lock, and it looks a pain to get them off, so that's unlikely ever to happen if I'm being honest. I'll just leave it unlocked and hope no one around here wants to steal a Saab 9000. I've left cars unlocked accidentally all week before and they've been fine. Also, new Michelin wipers. £5.99 each and they work well. No noises or smearing.
