egg
Ex De Gaulle era government car. Quote registered on October 2, 1965 in the name of the “Presidency of the Republic”, 55, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, in Paris. It is equipped with some specific features exclusive to General de Gaulle's cars: side sun visors for the rear seats, front flag holders hidden in the bumper, ribbon holder on the dashboard, and document holder. Slightly underwhelming 'special features', lol. https://www.lesanciennes.com/annonce/citroen-ds-ex-general-de-gaulle-1965-a630932 DSdriver, grogee, dome and 6 others

They got caught up in the crossfire between Nissan UK and Nissan Motor GB. For whatever reason NMGB didn't continue selling them, so they had an unusually short official life here - maybe a couple of years? Brotherwood continued to offer disabled conversions on them, I think they used imports from somewhere like Cyprus. I've seen a couple of other Prairies in the same L...NYD batch of registrations, all with the drop-down floor, cut-out in the rear bumper etc.

Jim Bergerac
Those Tipo Saloons were an official Fiat offering and not just Arnie Shark, they only came in low spec 1.4 form (I like a saloon so could have been interested, but for that). They seemed to be getting knocked out for £9,995 pre-reg right from the off. So whilst they were available across the dealership network, I would not be shocked if they were unsold cars from Ireland or Cyprus or wherever. cort16
