That has aged in a most appealing way. I hope somebody does a low-intervention rebuild on that and keeps the paint as-is

When I was working on the petrol pumps, I never felt comfortable fuelling these over that hot engine.  Very easy to drip petrol into the distributor! But I could check* oil and water whilst fuelling and that sometimes produced a tip. (See also Fiat and Simca)

Mega early Chevette!  I thought P reg were the first.

"A nice usable classic or could be transformed into a retro rally car, big engined street sleeper etc "  Please don't!

Classified ad price: £4,995

That's identical to the one a teacher at my junior school had, apart from the fact that hers was quite scruffy. This would have been the early '90s so already an unusual sight and something I took notice of. There was an HC Viva always parked opposite the school, and one of my friends arrived in a Mk1 Astra 'Celebrity' so it was quite a Vauxfest

This next ACA sale is shaping up to be one of the most interesting auctions for ages I reckon. As well as my old Panhard and Hotchkiss-Grégoire there are some wonderful Lancias, including this

It's an Iniezione, which is Italian for 'Walk Away' but otherwise looks great! I wish I wasn't poor.

I remember having to stop someone who was about to try filling up with petrol, via the air filter intake

Rare to see, even rarer with the optional headlamps that double as fish tanks... :D

Phwoar! thats a funky looking thing! Iv certainly heard of the Renault 8 before but I dont think iv ever seen a picture of one, or certainly not one that shows off its funky front end quite as well as this listing does!

almost reminds me of the Modern Electric Citroen Ami in some ways

bonus points for the genuine period Middlesex A suffix registration :)

(I wonder how many people think its a re-registration plate, when actually its not)

Yes, known to me and Junkman. Oddly enough, we saw it today although we didn't know it was for sale. It's an interesting thing, with a very nicely integrated LPG conversion. Probably a good buy for whoever bought it.
