"I was told by a mechanic that they sell for £700 cos they don't make them any more"

They don't make The Black Death any more, doesn't make it valuable. FFS an MOT fail Maverick is about £200 from eBay, and they have TWO headlights which makes you a bloody millionaire.

Edit, not sure why this was the last post when I was replying but now isn't and my comments just echo all the others. Sigh. That's the way my day is going.

They still made these until last year (might still be made under licence somewhere), so probably still some unused that isis haven't had bought for them by their mates in saudi or washington, roughly £25k gets a brand spanker, by the time its imported and taxed it'd be £30k.

All virtual models and renderings are included in the price though, so that's good.

The quoted dimensions for the spacers and front arms boggle the mind. Over a meter of rear spacers!

I can't even begin to understand what's happening on the front with that camber. Must have been a half arsed attempt to fill those absurd arches which didn't work out so someone said;

"Well drift cars have lots of camber so let's pretend that's what it is!"

Even though driftys get pranged almost constantly and need constant panel bashing if they're to be kept presentable.

That car makes me a little sad. Even the renders it looks terrible. Surely a friend or relative would have seen them and stepped in. All they'd have to do is take the bloke to one side and quietly say;

"Mate it looks like shit. Custom car building isn't for you. Find another hobby or get a girlfriend or something".

Presumably the geezer has no real friends or family that give a shit.

A single, kerbed, wheel trim.

I'd love a set of that style of trims for the 316, but the only ones I can find on t'bay are all about £10 each. FRO.

this silencer was blowing slightly at the bottom welded seam.

Seller has repaired it with Granville exhaust repair putty

The putty is now rock hard.

So a shagged, not-even-close-to-rare exhaust can be yours for just £100. [For context, new stainless ones can be had for £120]

Do fuck off, there's a good chap.

  • 2 weeks later...

Pignose RO with a Trasnit V4. Looks quite tidy apart from the Daniella Westbrook front end.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252703527045

Was the pignose front end a byproduct of the conversion to the V4 or was that just a crap conversion? Looking on Google I can't see another like it, which is a good thing because it looks a bit gash.

I'm assuming the original rotary lump went bang, and the owner had a Ford V4 sat in a rotten Tranny. Interesting idea, and they've tried to cover their work by retaining the original grille and bonnet. Just a shame the nose extension makes it fugly.

https://www.petervardy.com/item/25978/VAUXHALL/Nova.html

£4k for a lightly rusted 10k 5 door Nova in povvo spec, with scuffed Corsa wheel trims and budget tyres treated with Parade Gloss shoe polish.

Oh, and a stain on the back seat that even the best of valets seemingly couldn't shift.

Form an orderly queue.

If it's already sold though, they also have a 20 year old Jag XK8 for a bargainous £20k instead.
