I read about it on an old page on a Land Rover website, the writer of the website had contacted Rotodama for more information and apparently a drawn out house build project (with truck coming in handy) had delayed things. You can probably add covid to that now. It appeals to the irrational part of me that likes old Land Rovers and there's plenty of irrational people out there who like old Land Rovers and buy all sorts of shit. I doubt the Rotodama people will end up as rich as Elon Musk but likewise I don't think they'll end up like Preston Tucker.

A few years back (2013 I think) LaquerPeel posted the photo above and simply described the location as "Aberdeenshire", I asked whereabouts but he couldn't/wouldn't tell me. I had a rake around the flat bits of Aberdeenshire on google street view but didn't find it. About six months later I drove past it but didn't stop as it was chucking it down. Fast forward to this evening and google maps now shows two pins with businesses at the same location. McLachlan Marine has this drone shot on their website. The buildings are the same, there's now a wall next to the road but the truck ramps still remain. The orange van is in the layby and you can see the distinctive iron gate (two van lengths in front) where the Tudor truck was. The other business is the Grampian Trailer Centre who have this photo on their website. They now seem to occupy the whole site (not sure where McLachanlan Marine have gone), the black gate sitting against the wall is roughly where the truck ramp was and the distinctive iron gate where the Tudor was is visible in the background. Sorry @Saabnut, but I reckon its gone.

I wouldn't quite say "Highlands", its 5 miles south of @Saabnut. Some of it might still be there, that photo is about 10 years old.

Anecdotally, I remember people complaining about the Diy types not being able to fix air suspension. I remember hearing people bitch about efi and laughing at them 25 years ago. I’ve read stuff from 1970 in which people bitch about that new fancy Land Rover and how it wouldn’t catch on. The Range Rover Classic lasted 26 years. I reckon there has been people bitching about newer cars for about 120 years or so.

How many left indicates that there are two diesel fluences registered in the UK. The other 49 cars are electric. Not sure there’s been anything else from a major manufacturer that’s flopped that badly in the UK.

I don’t know about the L322 but the p38 could display 110 error messages on the dash .

I had a ‘98 Audi A3 Tdi about 10 years ago, the engine was great but there were so many little things which had been cheaped out, brake callipers, wiper motors, door catches etc. Definitely trading on a long gone reputation for quality.
