Renault 12 Yes it probably is, apart from the offside front wing (for normal people that translates as the right front mudguard ) which has suspicious amounts of patching and overspray extending to the tyre it seems to be very solid and tidy. A check on its history says the mileage is correct from new and any wof fails have been corrected the same day, so prob only things like tyres. chodweaver
Totalcarcheck reckons it's a turbo, but that's not 100% reliable. In real world driving I've found the turbos are no quicker than the NA diesels off the line - that engine has so much turbo lag that you don't get any boost at all in first gear, and even in second you need to be doing 20+ before anything much happens. 2.4 petrol is still the best engine for these, as long as you can afford the fuel bills. Also on every one of these I've driven the gearchange has been fucking horrific - if yours is decent you're lucky (or you've just replaced all the bushes). That's odd - the first gear is super low in mine (even to the extent that if totally unladen, pulling away in 2nd is viable, even desirable) so the turbo is spinning from the get go.Never tried a petrol one. The diesel's thirst is quite bad enough. And yes, I've done (some of) the gear linkage bushes, prompted by losing some of the gears.Ah. Just remembered. Mine has the gearing and back axle of an LT55.Sent from my BV6000 using Tapatalk wuvvum

Very Honda; competent yet anonymous. I always suspected that the 2.4 drivers were having a better time though. Fail sheet on that isn’t necessary awful but it does suggest some chronic underinvestment in the car of course.
