Completely and utterly miserable. About as much joy as hot chocolate powder without the added milk. I love it.

Not at the price those thieving fuckers are wanting, mind you.

It seems the longer it sits around the greater it's price! Inflation M9

I drove past this the other day, that dealer always seems to have something at a crazy price!

@RoverFolkUs where did you get the basic report thing from please , is it a freebie or how much ?

Its a freebie one. Name is TotalCarCheck.

Those screenshots were taken from their website but they also have an app which I also use.

I find it good because it gives you a list of previous adverts and I don't know of any others that do that 😁

Just realized I should have put that in the eBay bargains thread!

One thinks it could be bought for far lower than the asking as well.

If this is still about by the time I wake up later on I'll be amazed. Mentally cheap for a runner that's not comprehensively rotten either.

I think a frig on the airbag circuit would get you away as well.

I like that rather a lot! Unfortunately its asking price is about twice its value, despite how low mileage and shiny it is, a clutch + slave cylinder is still a massive job on these! ☹️

Indeed.  That's why I went for an auto 'box on my "forever" 75 - the slightly increased fuel consumption is more than made up for by the reduced potential for expensive borkage.

Not miserable enough, what you really want* is a dizzel Corsa Merit.

In a former life I used to buy these in bulk for the fleet I ran, 1.5D Merits (we only allowed the three door mind you), no PAS, no rear wiper, no radio, not even the LCD display on top of the dash, no glovebox lid, but they did have a 5 speed box and we did allow them to choose metallic paint. The car above was Frost Blue and was a complete bastard to paint match, even in Vauxhall bodyshops.

Yes they were really bobby basic but they had a kind of austere charm about them and with the 1.5d n/a Isuzu lump they were reasonable performers, especially compared to the Mk3 Fiesta 1.1s i used to buy before.

Right, parishioners of the Autoshite Church. I've tried lecturing you into buying some shit for us all to laugh at, but now I'm going to preach from the lectern of first hand experience.

This mustMUST  be bought.  I can see of no sensible reason as to why this wouldn't be purchased and brought into the family.

From what I can see, it's a Taxi Spec Diesel Granada.  My understanding is that it's a bit of a holy grail, and my wish is to see it on here.

Please.  Someone do an Autoshite.  I beg.

I'm with you on the sentiment but not on the price. £3k is a lot to throw at it. If it was £1500 I might entertain the idea but I do wonder what horrors lie beneath.

I do completely agree that this is AS beige gold though - misery spec, clattery old diesel. Apparently it is an 'Indenor' PSA diesel which I know nothing about.

Dude - if a Granada is £1500 it's sold within minutes and on the back of a beavertail.  The signwriter is called and the fate is sealed.  They have to be this sort of money now to stay alive.  In the round, £3k for a usable old thing isn't a kings ransom.  YMMV.

this will be ULEZ exempt pretty damn soon (from the 1st of April), I hope someone in London buys it along with that Delta 88 Diesel V8 wagon from a few pages back :)

just amass a fleet of old school ULEZ exempt diesels as a protest against the restrictions :) (and if your eligible to get a vehicle into the disabled taxation class it becomes exempt from ULEZ until 2025, so you can play a long game as well, ie get vehicles that will only be historic tax eligible in 2024 or such)

Enjoy* complete bASe spec misery with this MK2 Focus STUDIO 1.4!

The Studio trim level doesn't even get you air conditioning as standard! And Grey plastics galore

0-60 in some 15 seconds thanks to the asthmatic power* plant of an engine. Running costs roughly equal to the 1.6 99 unit. Why did anyone ever tick the 1.4 box? 🤷‍♂️

Tinted rear windows to add an extra 25 bhp though, natch

I'm no Merc expert but this sounds cheap for what it is? And it looks like a genuine private sale so that's a bonus.

"Starting issues" and "needs new exhaust"

Can't be too bad for £800, what are these worth?

Don't know if it has any ticket left, mind
