Six large seems very salty.

Possibly the one that used to live up the road a bit, not seen it in years if the same one.

Can"t say I blame them for having 2nd thoughts on this state of an Astra Mk2 ?

Apparently these low spec ones are really rare. But they're not really...

Did check the reg between the two, in case it was the same one being resold.

Was red a base spec colour? @Six-cylinder may know I guess?

Last picture on that advert did make me chuckle though. Presumably auto generated.

Early, 38k mile Tipo in Dublin for €1700 (£1400) + a ferry corssing

The best bit:

YTZjYTUwNzhjMGRmOGJjMGExNzllZWNkNDFhMGVm

Has MoT until December. Is shown as SORN on DVLA but is probably still being driven on those plates in Ireland - let's face it, they all are because free motoring.

Tasty CX Pallas restoration project from the continent. Doesn't look bad for 675 quid:

Or you could have this.....:

This is the second time this one has come up in the last couple of years. I think this might be the one which Keith Adams (ex-CCW; now Parkers) had for a while. I don't remember the mileage being 77,000 when it was previously offered; thought it was higher.....

The eBay description is either careless (quite a few inconsistencies between the main text and the "item specifics"), or there's something dodgy going on.

If this is a genuine auction, then the next owner should keep a very close eye on that automatic gearbox. And the state of the coolant hoses. And the alternator. And the wiring......

That's the correct A series in the maestro they use a VW box rather than the mini in sump type gearbox.

Ah. So A series like in a midget, with separate box ? You learn something new every day.

Imagine a holiday in that fucking thing? I'd rather spin round and round and round and round on a twizzly chair and shit in an ice bucket

RE was not base spec, it had luxuries such as radio, rear wipe-wash and front head restraints.

Red was available on most early AXs.

MOT expired Nov 2019
