Is your riser dry? Fancy getting it wetter than an otter's pockets? Then simply buy this and drive round town at 3.00am

1244cc and aircon which I guess means no carburettor and no pushrods. Shame.

"it was run weekly until it stopped working"

Curiously, no mention of rust in the MOT history.

I had one just like this. It wasn't very good. I'd have another. Not at £2.5k though.

'I SPENT £1.229 ON A TOP ENGINE REBUILD'

Says something about 'Hunters and chasers' on the roof though, so possibly belonged to some fox hunting twats.

^ Was he the car-builder's son who did the electronics? This sort of period electronics is interesting, it would be good to see more info on the quirky stuff he built for that car.

Edit, I just read the Bonhams article, (see link in flat4alfa's post above), John Tatar would be the original builder's grandson.

Interesting links indeed.

No, Johns late brother did the electronics , I spoke to him earlier ..He was unaware it was for sale

Interesting to see, exactly the same model and colour as mine. A quick and useable car with the bigger engine (just a shame it costs a bit more each year to tax).

No pictures yet, but how far even is Burton from other bits of Derbyshire?

Not far from Derby but Burton is Staffordshire, home of Marston's, Coors and Marmite..
