eBay tat volume 3.

I've emailed a few LeBonCoin ads over the years. In all that time ever only has 1 response. If there is a phone number always ring. French seem to ignore emails?

I'm thinking I might change my LBC profile to a French surname. My grandmother was French (her surname was Helbecque - which is very much a Northern French sounding name) so using that might help lol.

Edit: another coda to this, when I was studying in France if I had to get photos developed or something, I gave a French surname, it was easier and avoided any anti-anglais sentiment!

Here is an obscure Chinese 4x4 in Cornwall, being sold due to the unavailability of new windscreens - so could be a bargain if you know a "sympathetic" MOT tester.

As is usually the case with vehicles from the People's Republic, the styling is completely original.

That's because email is still a new thing to most French people.  They are still getting their heads round the fact that 3615 Leboncoin isn't a thing any more.

Lol, indeed. Many ads say this or variations on 'Ne répond pas au mail et au sms'.

Like for this lovely Simca.

minitel.jpg

Saw an ad the other day from just 2015.  It said

D'abord allumer le Minitel, puis décrocher le téléphone, et taper 3615. leboncoin.

and other

Autre alternative: ressortez votre minitel et tapez 3615 “LeBoncoin”! Attention : le véhicule c'est bien, mais la sape compte pour beaucoup

998cc of Italian engineering under your arse

Speedo wobbles all over the place until you get to about 30mph then it settles down. Tbf the whole car wobbles over 30mph so

that should distract your attention.

1.9TD Xud9 engine from a Citroen ZX

I think the headgasket has blown in a pretty spectacular way. Lots of oil in the header tank. It still starts and drives fine (at the minute)

£50 start

Anyone dying to own a tidy 2007 Peugeot 207 1.4? It's lowish mileage (71k) and has 12 months' MOT, my neighbour is trying to sell it at the moment and is getting fed up with the steady stream of time wasters. She's asking for £2000, no idea if that's realistic but I suspect she'd consider a fair offer.

Not a bad little motor to be fair, would think the age is probably the killer. The simple people in life will just see that you can (probably) get a 2009 one for the same price, then totally ignore the mileage and condition of your neighbour's.

Slower than a weekend locked in a Rhyl B&B with Nigel Mansell, steers like the Sesame Street bus, bloody awful to drive and should be consigned to a museum. But enough of the Mercedes, here's a Commer

It does seem to be attracting the pedantic-but-clueless kind of buyer from what she's told me, a fair few viewings which have gone on too long and not resulted in so much as an offer.  To be honest I've never even sat in it but it seems to have done her well for a couple of years and looks very tidy.
