I have a deep, distant urge to experience Beetle ownership.

Remove 1 x Morris Minor plug lead.

Put on a really, really loose steering wheel cover, making sure you grease the Morris wheel first.

Introduce 4 suitably-sized sockets or similar metal items into the silencer via the tailpipe.

Every time  you buy a spare part put the same amount of money that it cost into an envelope and set fire to it.

Arrange the headlamp switch so that it cannot progress beyond the first-click sidelight position.

That should just about cover it.....

Get one of the best 250s ever made, take out the engine and replace it with a fucking shit one.

Pump the front tyres up to 150 PSI and release all air from the rear ones.

The bike car! I'd love that thing.

It has no reverse. Useful.

"There's one of everything tucked away in NZ" Nearly came true today. Opened the local car mag and an ad caught my eye.

1976 Tatra for sale $60,000.

Ok, it is a bit rare here but see the above.

Read the ad, car is in the Czech Republic and the phone no. starts with 042.

I can't say the ad is even slightly dodgy, but no thanks.

There is a bloke in Colorado trying to sell a Series 3 Jaguar XJ6 to Australia through Australian magzines/websites.

He wants $6000, this includes shipping to Oz.

I have been severely tempted to tell him that for $6000 I can easily get a RHD one that is all ready in Australia and drive it straight home that day.

Why would I buy one unseen from Colorado that is LHD and needs to be shipped here and made road worthy for the same money.
