Sunday or not, I'd be using it though. 😄 My 'classic' gathers dust on the drive. I chose the right machine, given the drivers roads traversed. Split_Pin
No pictures of the car as we were too busy taking family snaps but I took the Audi to Bo'ness today and went for a walk along the foreshore. Even got the roof down for part of the journey. It was ironic to be walking on what had once been a heavily mined area in Victoria times, and to look out on the 21st century industry in Grangemouth. We wondered if in 100 years time the same area will have returned to nature as well.
captain_70s
A smol jaunt to a local country park for a walk with Girlfriend_70s. We were already planning to go for an amble and given the Acclaim is the only functional fleet member it had to be used regardless. I saw an old boy driving an F suffix Mini and a Porsche 356 convertible (probably a kit car) on a driveway. I think I usually see more old shit on a sunny Sunday when it isn't Drive It Day, although it is still a touch salty on the roads and I imagine a lot of cars are still in winter hibernation for that reason. cort1977
Did get out in the cortina briefly yesterday evening but didn't spot any classics because I was mainly dealing with a a sticking throttle linkage. Interesting drive but made it home OK. Shite Ron
Dick Longbridge
I popped out in the MR2 with DL Junior to see family. We dropped in on a local 1850's Grade 2 listed house owned by the council which I've been keeping an eye on over the last few years. Great to see they're looking after our local heritage in order to preserve it for the future generations Interesting to see they've now abandoned the place and boarded it up to ensure the local vermin are alerted to its vulnerability. The drive was great fun though, and DL Junior loves the grown-up go-kart. Shite Ron
Shite Ron
I didn’t get out in the car until after 6pm as I had other non car things taking up my time, I did change the condenser first and it seemed to start and run better. I took the dog out and we went to see a friend. I had a drive of his Morris 1000 and it was great fun, It was the first time I have driven one and I really enjoyed it. We then had a short run in the Cortina, stopped to walk the dog and then the car would not start, so still needs further investigation. It did start eventually but I need to get to the bottom of this. Didn’t go far but at least got to drive two cars, in all the excitement I forgot to take pictures. danthecapriman, RobT, Skizzer and 2 others
High Jetter
I was only out for a couple of hours late afternoon yesterday. Poor showing, the only things of note were 3 single-car transporters, one had a Suzi SJ on the back, the other 2 were empty, presumaby on their way to collect broken-down shite. Went to a place today to collect a chest of drawers, recently ish converted to flats but apparently was originally built by the bloke who brought gas lighting to Sarf London massive place 1884 for bloke and Mrs and separate wings for their 20 staff!!! Frogchod
Maybe a coincidence but it was "drive it" day in France yesterday. Organised by the FFVE. I went on an "essential" ride out in the Buick to somewhere I shouldn't have been... Could hear a few interesting cars being given a thrashing 😁 Six-cylinder
RobT
Spotted this winner yesterday. But it was quite clearly her daily rather than a special DiD outing. Fumbler, Split_Pin, Shite Ron and 1 other
GeordieInExile
Huh, didn't realise this was a day. Fortunately I used it to go to TK Maxx and B&Q as I continue my slide towards being my parents.

I had G48 PUD a Volvo 240GL estate in Aug 1989. It was an Oxford registered car, although it had come from Aylesbury they did not have a reg office so we could choose between Luton, Northampton and Oxford. DodgyBastard
We took the ldv pilot to armadale to buy tyres then stopped off at grangemouth/boness for some photos. Later we took the bikes out from cowdenbeath up to Auchterarder via glen Devon and took the scenic route via dunning on the return journey. Saw plenty of other bikes but most were modern apart from one guy on an 80's DT who gave an over enthusiastic fist pump as we passed. Saw a few old cars out and about too including a b3 Passat and some sort of old Ferrari. LightBulbFun, mitsisigma01 and RobT
MT606
I don't have a classic car in road worthy nic at the mo, went out on my trusty steed instead...... Saabnut, Shite Ron, LightBulbFun and 1 other
Alusilber
I spent most of Drive It Day washing the Glof for first time in far too long, and in the process discovering some strange silvery spots on the roof that seem to have etched into the lacquer, and the first rust blebs on the front wheel arches ☹️. The 924's DID will have to wait until I get round to booking it in for an MoT...

gm
I was working on Sunday but took the Mazda out for "Drive it like a loon day" on Monday which involved thrashing the 1993 mx5 round Teeside autodrome many, many times. I took along a work colleague who had never been on track before, he had the time of his life and is looking for a track toy himself now this is an old pic, I forgot to take any as I was enjoying myself too much
