fatharris Posted January 4, 2019 Share Posted January 4, 2019 Yep, we've decided that the Rover is the next on the fleet to be replaced, and MrsH isn't sure what to go for. We've got a criteria (who doesn't?) but as usual, we'll bend the rules for the right motor: - Max of £1000 - ideally around the £800 mark.- No saloons, we have a spaniel and a baby.- Petrol or diesel - we prefer older diesels if we had to go that way. Her trip to work is a 24 mile round one and I don't think new fangled common rails are good at that short a distance. Doesn't need to do 60MPG but at the same time can't do 12mpg - No VAG products. Neither of us like them.- Bigger than a Rover 200. I suggested a Streetwise but she hit me - Mildly interesting/shite (that's for me)- relatively safe in a smash Any advice? So far I've been looking at Accord estates, Volvo's etc, but don't want to miss the chance of anything decent.
