Dick Longbridge
I reckon you're doing a Derek Bieri style 'will this shitter make it home?' collection. This gem is down the road from me and would be about the right distance from you. EyesWeldedShut, Lacquer Peel and loserone 2

loserone
Had a top afternoon at the beach in Looe and then up some footpaths around the river. Amazing how there are flowers everywhere, this whole place is 6-8 weeks ahead of home moving into spring. Also although the roads are nice enough, they are so, so busy. Must be grim in the summer with the tourists. dome, cort16, dave j and 13 others
loserone
The s124 drives pretty well, very pleased with it so far. As long as it makes it home OK tomorrow the W211 roffle will kick off tomorrow. loserone
Meanwhile the 182 is in Lochgelly getting a new heater matrix and hopefully an MoT. Clio Stu pulled the carpets out as it was getting a bit mouldy in there. loserone
And home. 52 hours, 1280 miles driven between us in total, one beach, some hail, Sri Lankan food not far from GCHQ in Cheltenham, 21 poos and a dozen coffees. @320touring tells me it got 29.8mpg. Some fettling and cleaning required but I'm very pleased with it. Thanks so much @HMC for giving me second dibs and being so accommodating. loserone
Stashed this out of the way this week. Renewal came through for the W211, which is funny* because I've just roffled it. £684 for the year. Meanwhile I've insured the S124 on the same terms for £290, and could get the 182 on the same terms again (business use for both drivers, 4k a year, parked in the street, Mrs L1's roundabout incident not quite 5 years ago) for another £306. I.e. it's cheaper to insure the S124 and the clio than it is the W211. MENTAL. Could also put the clio on a classic policy for £250 it seems, but then I can't use it for business use.
