If doing for a business by the time you factor in the costs - £3000 capital tied up, cost of transporting and insurance, your own time per hour at auction and after, any fettling*, storage, advertising costs, your time entertaining* every potential customer* and any taxes, any discount negotiated and the fact that it may sit about for months how much mark-up there really is?
