flat4alfa
Looks lovely!. Green, but with Blue interior too. Those funny Italians. Yes a 164 is worth four 156, two 166, but only half a Tagora blakey79
flat4alfa
1970 Austin Maxi 1750 A bit Italianate in the colour-match department: Limeflower Green exterior, Navy interior. Bought it as MOT failure, recovered it home. Had it fixed. Kept it a year. flat4alfa
Do you like Brown? Brown all over and everywhere? What you want is the Acclaim you always promised yourself. Kept this one a short while and sold it onto to Trigger of this parish (see page 4). He kept it for 1000% longer than I, though. Come to think of it, the first photo might actually be one of his photos. The Internet is awash with photos of this particular car, anyhow. 1984 Triumph Acclaim HLS Sudsprint, michael t, Magnificent Rustbucket and 3 others

Six-cylinder
One more Alfa Interior, our current 1983 Giulietta 2.0 is not on the road and needs a bit of work. We also had a 1976 Alfetta 1.6 and a 1982 Giulietta 1.8 but unfortunately I have not got photos. flat4alfa, Sudsprint, michael t and 2 others

Zelandeth
That Porsche interior is fantastic...Obviously appealed to the same market as the Mercedes of the time which came with some rather lurid Plaid cloth on some models as I recall. I miss the German carmakers doing things like that... Saw a late Volvo 850 (I think it was anyway, it had been debadged) today which reminded me of one of the favourite options that Volvo offered at the time - which I seem to recall the automotive press absolutely hating. Which was to have the usual wood (or at least wood effect) trim in place, but using a really light coloured wood rather than the usual dark veneers. I still reckon it looks absolutely fantastic, very much different to the norm, and really brightens up what could have otherwise been a very dull (if exceedingly well executed) interior design. ...Seem to recall that was one of the last cars to feature the two-coloured green and amber Lambda warning light on the dash, which as a youngster I found quite fascinating. Yes, I was a strange kid. Would still like one of those Volvos if I could find one at the right price that wasn't utterly knackered.

Zelandeth
Still reckon that generation of 2/300 series Merc vans had my favourite dash of any commercial vehicle. Something about the general layout and the huge great warning lights that are so purely functional in nature is just right for me. Really need to own one of those vans one day - though I do fear I've missed my chance. I reckon the trim on the engine cowl has probably knocked a good 20% off the noise levels!
