I lobbed it on the bullshit thread but it probably needs to be here along with the HMRC investigation for serious tax evasion fraud thread etc etc

what a absolute minta

1958 LAND ROVER SERIES 2

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1958-LAND-ROVER-SERIES-2-200-TDI-GALVANISED-CHASSIS-TAX-amp-MOT-EXEMPT-/192118064762?

Specification  now includes:

90 Soft Top body - so not an 88 then

Galvanised Chassis - but not an 88

the rest of the description is a Defender 90

Large File of Restoration Details - including piccies of the vin plate being pop riveted to the dash

TAX & MOT EXEMPT

Err no it is more likely to be subject to a nice shiny Q plate and worth less than the 90 Defender that you restored around the sII Vin Plate

Verdict - you have got to be fucking joking me!

Seriously though cunts like this are doing the classic land rover world enormous damage. I might just bid this fucker up to 500k and then back out because not one bit of it was around in 1958

It will end up being bid to mid teens to be rung back into a defender 90

what an absolute fucking joke

At least it is on leaf springs so has a slight hint of series 2 about it. I certainly wouldn't want to be the owner when the DVLA come knocking though.

It is was mine. It's been for sale several times since I sold it.

Glad I did now! I suspect my £600 was more reasonable than what he is asking, I haven't clicked the link yet but it was a lot last time it was up for sale.

It's a bit too messed about with I think. A+ engine, manual box but Auto on the V5 and needs painting at the very least, no idea what bodywork stuff needed doing.

2.0 Turbo manual (6-speed box in these) but miserable Dynamique spec level

s-l1600.jpg

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-LAGUNA-DYNAMIQUE-2-0-TURBO-/282378090342

As you would expect, FANTASTIC Renault build quality, everything works as it should

INTERMITANT ELECTRICAL FAULT,WHICH PUTS THE CAR INTO LIMP MODE OCCASIONALLY.

A NEW THROTTLE BODY WAS FITTED IN OCTOBER 2016,( OLD THROTTLE BODY,AND RECIEPT FOR NEW THROTTLE BODY WITH THE CAR),  BUT THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. AN AUTO ELECTRICIAN SEEMS TO THINK THAT THE ISSUE IS NOW ELECTRICAL.

He sounds switched on alright

Aparently the previous owner restored it. Fixed the chassis and adapted it to take a 90 body. The car is neither shit nor apples

If this was an iPhone app it'd be called GIFR

I would love to set up GIFR, run it at a loss for a year or so, then sell it to Venture Capital twats for £18 billion.

On GIFR, you'd be able to check on your phone where the nearest Werther's shop is, exchange pictures of comfy cardigans, arrange garden centre visits, talk about that nice advert with Parky in it where you get a free pen, and perv over Damart models.

Oh, and do bummage as well.

Actually more offended by how it looks than him ringing it. I bet that bloke who was pictured shagging a Range Rover exhaust has a photo of this LandRover in his wallet so he doesn't come to quickly.

I really like this gen of Celica even more so when its a GT4. Hopefully they still have the original steering.  Wheel why do folk fit these potato shaped monstrocities?

The décor is unmistakably 70’s with a mix of Harvest Gold, Avocado and Tangerine shag and naugahide

Sorry, can't get the pics to load

Utterly perfect in every way, and scroll down to read the story of Cora Pearl.
