Arrivals! Some courtesy of @danthecapriman, the rest from eBay

Is this plastic Hong Kong lorry a copy of a Matchbox or just generic? Shame the grille's gone

Unusual for cheapies to have opening parts, but Welly managed it with this Blazer

Another of Dan's finds, needs a pair of wheels and an axle, sure I'll find something

Kennel truck needs a grille but I often pick up donors for these. This shade of green is quite unusual

Grabbed this Britains Land Rover in the charity shop for a pound to re-sell

One of the few Ferraris  I like, MC Toys made a pretty good stab at this one. Again, sure I have a spare wheel

Now we get into the main event, starting with an Auto-Pilen Porsche 917

A bit battered but the rarity factor makes up for it, Gama-Mini Kadett

20221230_150743.thumb.jpg.64336eca657a5df45bb9adfe147310d3.jpg20221230_150752.thumb.jpg.b7b05525ff6fdec57519b115dd63ce06.jpg20221230_150850.thumb.jpg.04aef1619229717fd0fb28e645a3f316.jpg

But this is the best find (and it was in a cheap lot with the Kadett)

The Kadett looks great. The proportions are pretty good but when I first seen the first pic I thought it was a Talbot Sunbeam.

Are you going to restore it?

@AndyW201

I dug that 1/18 Welly Astra H out of the loft as the picture I had of it was from 2011 when I was unpacking my cars after a house move.

Nice, that. Would fit in quite nicely with my 1:18  collection; I tend to gravitate towards the mundane end of the spectrum, and Welly covered that angle pretty well for a while. My Ford StreetKa comes from around that period, as does my Peugeot 206CC. I've a Mustang SVO of theirs, too.

I have a VW Touareg from 2006 which was intended to complement my Autoart Phaeton but as you can imagine it didn't compare. One of the door frames doesn't even close properly. I barely even displayed it because it was so bad although I still have it. The Astra is definitely much better.

I have a Peugeot 504 which I got from MrLobster (remember him) in about 2014 which was Nex branded and for the money it's fantastic. Just the pegs on the headlights and the curved arms holding the doors on rather than proper hinges give it away. I made a video on it many years ago now.

Btw chaps, those ones that came from me… if they smell ‘Smokey’ it’s not me! When I got them in a big box they absolutely stank of chain smoking. I’ve given your ones a wipe down but I think they might still whiff a bit. The box still absolutely reeks now and it’s been a few weeks.

Anyone want the rest of what was there? There’s nothing really for me and the smoke smell has really put me off!

Pay me for the postage and you can have them if you want??

Has the tipping mechanism as well. Never been a massive fan of the fantasy era Lesney but it’s a nice casting, you can see why it was popular in the seventies.

EBay pic. I've got one but not as nice.Screenshot_20221230-181153_eBay.thumb.jpg.99b3aa0301dfc02f6ea0ca82dc20a92e.jpg

I don't mind the fantasy stuff from this era, but I prefer the Superfast ones to the Speed Kings as a general rule

Quite glad someone put their hand up before me. I've got way to many projects and parts cars, and a growing pile of doubles to sell. I was so busy for the last few months that eBay just wasn't something I had time to deal with

I have the green one and the white, both the axles are a bit bollocksed.

Surprised how much there was today that was very obviously restored but being passed off as original. They were very good but likewise you could clearly see it was ‘too good’ compared to what an original would be.

They’re yours then! I’ve no idea how much postage is though? It’s fairly heavy.

Yep still got both. The Minor  is separate from that big box but your welcome to it non the less. The CA van body is in that big box, but you’ll have to ask @Dick Longbridge nicely if he’ll let you have it…

Let me know how you want to proceed!

Also, for those interested, I’ve recently acquired a load of old stuff which I’ve been slowly going through and checking over. I’m still waiting on the last parcel of this lot to arrive but here’s a taste of what I’ve got!

Some of the stuff on the top of these boxes you’ve already seen, but these two boxes and a third elsewhere are full of cars and trucks, and all sorts of other stuff. All of it is from the 50’s up until the 80’s.

I’ll get some pics up soon of what’s actually there, hopefully the final box will be here soon and I’ll show the whole collection!
I love the old Dinky/Corgi/Lesney stuff but I’ll admit to not knowing much about them, so I’ve got no idea what, if anything, is rare or valuable or whatever. There might well be some I’ll be passing on though.

Good evening all. I've a number of Corgi OOC Hong Kong Bus models I want to get rid of.

Not going to sell them, so will be offering them here for free.

Collection only. I'll go through the box some time in the early New Year.

All mint and boxed. Pictures once I do this. 😎

Please could I pop my name on the Spot-On Ford Mk2 Zephyr and the red GT car almost touching its grille that I don't recognise

Otherwise anything amongst that lot that is Husky, Spot-On, Lone Star and Mini-Dinky; any condition.  Thanks

😆

The red car? That’s a Superkings Datsun 240Z.

Theres a few of the Corgi Rover SD1’s in various forms. I’m going to strip one and repaint it in Leyland apple jack green!

Oh is it...  Well it's doing a very good impression of something much more Bizzarrini-ish and interesting!  I blame the superb* lighting 🥺

All those ones in the first pic are just shoved under the bed. There’s absolutely shit loads of them and there’s not much room to keep them out as I sort through each box. Most are original but playworn, some are in worse condition - missing bits or repainted. There’s a few in really nice condition too though.
A few of the more battered but savable ones I’ve got bits to fix them with off eBay. Not sure I’ll get round to all of them though!
