Bonnet been sprayed but up close it's not too clever.

Had a fleet of 5 of these as work vans and they were fab. Ours were all 1.9 turbodiz ones.  Equipment levels, handling, power all good but 3 of them managed to lose gears at about the 80k  (when I say lose gears I literally mean little cogs bouncing along the M6) all fixed under warranty tho! I don't think the petrols have the same issues.

All were replaced by hateful T5 pineapple holders.

GLWTS!

Does it have an oxygen sensor?

No, but you'd need a gas mask to sit in my Kangoo. It used to smell like a dead dog factory, now it's considerably worse after a few tip runs.

6 speeders? they usually shit themselves around that mileage.

Top motor for not much cash.

Yup, 6-speed 1.9cdti. To be fair, most of our engineers drive like mongs using the accelerator like an on/off switch.

M32 boxes on the 1.9s are made of chocolate, I don't think there's any left with an original box, they even spoiled the VXR with it. 1.9s (Fiat engine) are shite tbh, they all have the swirl flaps go on the inlet manifold, the aforementioned box issues, clutch and DMF, alternator and EGR valves fail on every one of them, thousands of folk on Astra owners network forked out thousands in repairs cost they've bought a 1.9 Sport Hatch XP cos it looks good with the kit, they go pretty well and half decent mpg and its been nothing but bother, by comparison everyone with every other engine in their car has had next to no bother.

Astra Hs are cracking cars, reliable, cheap to buy now, nice interior which is pretty solidly built, stylish, cheap parts, I could go on all day about their plus points, I loved my Design and miss it badly, only gripes are the expensive tax (£115 for 6 months) and the air con radiators and the bumpers are made of chocolate too. My 1.8 was super reliable but thirsty, struggled to get better than 35mpg over 25,000 miles.
