  1. Just caught up on this thread.... I saw this pink metro yesterday in Eastwood near Progress Road about 17.30
  2. Managed to get this moved and put away on Saturday. Now garaged and SORN’d. A bonus it’s been dry here recently so the car went away dry.
  3. An email from The AA... To remind me its nearly Mothers Day. Seriously, Fooook Offff! Stick to what you're good at repairing cars at the side of the road.
  4. So after 6 years of faithful service I think this car has seen the tarmac for the last time in a while. I now have another car so this has been stood since christmas on a friends driveway. I fired it up yesterday (first time) and purred but then left loads of coolant on the road outside my flat so back off the road for now and awaiting a flat bed down to my garage in Kent after lockdown. The bonnet came open after pulling off yesterday too, the cable is duff, The sills are rusty and jacking points have gone again. It was cracking and creaking somewhat when I recently had a new rear tyre on it. I need to have a look at how and why it spat coolant out yesterday and dry the boot out then stash it away. Not sure what to do with it long term, I do hope it doesn't get dragged back out in 2050 in series 30 of Bangers and Cash.
  5. Fcktards driving along in the dark with snow covered front headlights.... Buts ok, they have their muzzle on while driving so they are safe. It can only be 2021.

  9. Ideal for looking like 'old money' when you go shopping at Waitrose https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCEDES-BENZ-E-CLASS-E430-AUTO-V8-W210-FULL-SERVICE-HISTORY-LOW-MILEAGE/193859099138?hash=item2d22e71a02:g:vfMAAOSwIy1f49IN
  10. A great choice of car and what more could you want for going to the shops in once a week, or when permitted by our leaders in modern day communist Britain.
  11. A really rare thing but talk of *no reserve* but starting an auction at £4000 surely acts as a reserve. Not seen one in the wild for a long time now. The Previa that replaced this was far superior in every which way.
  12. No, that's the only snag, its in Kent. But have family on the manor who will pass by and keep one eye on the garage but it seems a nice enough area. There was nothing local at all.
  13. Finally managed to find a nice dry safe secure garage to park the 75 in. Best bit is its FREE! Belongs to a family member who has been telling me for over a year "That big Rover wont go in" but all yours if you want it. Popped over today with a trusty tape measure and there is plenty of room, well about 6 inches to spare.
  14. Yeah quite possibly. The communication wasn't ideal (he was Russian) . The odd thing is I pulled up just down the road and text him saying "are you free now" (this is after earlier comms about me viewing the car but I hadn't confirmed a time so he had no idea I was already there) so he didn't know I was parked in his road. He read my watsapp and came straight out of his house and got into the Merc, in this time I had walked towards the address he gave me and saw him getting in it... He jumped as it was dark and wasn't expecting me so soon....I thought here we go it needs warming up... but it started and run fine, however he did mention the battery isn't great so maybe it had some starting issues? I don't know, I mean a battery is no big deal. I was slightly skeptical about this however it doesn't matter now. I said "sorry were you just going out?" but he kept dodging the question. Ah well its all done now, thanks for everyone's input and encouragement.
  15. He sold it this morning! Bugger! Maybe should of gone a bit higher last night as I feel its one that got away now. Ah well...
  16. Thanks! He said he has been bombarded with loads of "£800 / £ 600 collect tonight bollox"
  17. Been to view this this evening, its actually rather nice! immaculate inside and pretty good outside but it was dark.... owner took me for a spin and it seems spot on. I have offered £1600 but there is another chap viewing it first thing tomorrow morning so he is going to wait on him, To be fair I arranged my viewing this evening pretty last minute and the other chap was already confirmed for tomorrow morning 9am, nonetheless £1600 is the offer, that is about as much as I want it and he will let me know tomorrow. We will see....
  18. To summarise for my own sanity - owned last 6 years, but for the last 3 years it has been parked in his garage, not MOT'd for half of that time and only covered about 300 miles since early 2018. I can't work out if its an absolute gem or a potential PITA riddled with problems. It looks mint condition with a clean MOT history but a lack of any real S/H.
  19. It had 'fuel lines and seal' replaced in 2015 due to a non start issue costing £262 @95K miles It has only done 300 odd miles since March 2018. Has been off the road without an MOT for 18 months March 2019 until Oct this year!? I can't get my head around this one.
  20. Yep had a change of plate. Going to view it saturday morning if its still available. Foreign sounding chap, seems friendly and genuine enough but I asked has it been reliable he said sometimes it needs things but I think it was more a breakdown in comms rather than him saying its unreliable. Had all fluids and gearbox oil changed, parking sensors and leccy seats fixed.
  21. Fair points, I did wonder perhaps lost the logbook. I dont know how the whole private plate thing works. Have tried sending my number in disguise but ebay are being rather annoying.
  22. Photo's were taken last week, owned for 6 years by this chap and a in a nice part of town. Even has conti tyres on which indicates a well looked after / cared for car. hmmmm trying to arrange a call but ebay are blocking the emails containing a phone number.
