Conelrad Posted May 28, 2018 Share Posted May 28, 2018 I purchased the car 2 years ago in a reasonable condition I purchased one in reasonable condition and a month later the big ends went. however within a month or so, the bottom end started knocking Ah The engine has had a complete rebuild including sending the crank off for checking to make sure it is ok, new bottom end shells and washers, piston rings, new gaskets, new head gasket, new valve stem seals etc That's a 3000 mile service. It doesn’t overheat at idle What a car! The car was sold to me incorrectly, it is in fact a category C unfortunately, the previous owner failed to disclose this to me and I learnt a lesson about buying cars. That a 50 year old car has a past?
