Do you like Welding?

Do you like spending the rest of your life on the internet hunting down obscure trim and bodypanels?

Too much money in your life? Feel that scrap is desperately undervalued?

Step right this way;

- I actually started looking at Imprezas but they still hold their value it seems, while these things are everywhere and pretty cheap. I may inadvertently be looking at non-turbos, and why would you bother with them?

Barn find

Quite.

I brought this with the intentions of restoring it

I don't know too much about it other than it being a 3 cylinder engine, the engine turns over but there is no spark.

Why do so many people who can't tell a car from a cow bruy restoration projects?

Its got full cream leather interior

This particular bumpkin can't even tell a cow from a plastic bag.

The mind boggles.

-Can't help thinking the n/a 2.0 is a bit pointless and pretty boring though....

There is a lot to be said for a car that has way more grip than power.

I had one of these 2 litre Legacys for 9 years, sometimes boring is good. eg It was half the price of a similar 3 litre car. (Which of course would have been 100hp and two cylinders better)

There is no reason to bother with any turbocharged petrol car, unless you like that wooshy noise or all of that extra complexity and expense. If more power is wanted, more cylinders and bigger cylinders is the only way to go.

Turbocharging is for Diesels and aircraft.
