worldofceri
I've just been out for a nice walk round the block and returned amazed what is lurking around if you have the bottle to go poking around the back alleys (so to speak). Maddeningly my camera is too poor to capture wobble-free pictures in the winter sunlight, but you'll get the idea. This SD1 I've known about for a long time but there's usually a couple of wheelie bins parked in front. Don't know what the story is but it ain't going anywhere soon.Princess is well known at local shows, I think, and is often parked on the road round the front. These Toyotas were just round the corner. The one on the left is apparently on the road but I've never seen it before. And despite the hay(?) this isn't on a farm somewhere, but in the middle of Coventry! Not EPIC SPOTZ I know, but these were all but a five minute walk from my house. I must make the effort to go exploring further afield (more than two streets away) in the not too distant future.

Richard
The Morris in the makeshift car port is the winner for me. In fact all the surroundings are as good as the cars.
Louise2cv
Ace. I don't know which I find more amazing... people hanging on to cars like the tatty Toyota, or people having and using gems like the Princess. Either way, I like the fact these folks (like us I suppose) don't mind marching to the beat of a different drum. boobydoo
That Princess looks gorgeous! Original plates an' everything! Â I reckon thats a National Trust sticker in the windscreen so I reckon it's owned by an 'older' person...young people these days are too busy getting pissed and watching pointless American reality crap on TV to care about the wonderful heritage of these Great British Isles.*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â *The above statement is typical of the 'misguided sweeping generalisations and unfair defamation of todays youth' often uttered by withered, grumpy old twats seen driving old Talbots. worldofceri
Cheers for the comments! While I'm at it here's the rest of what I've collected over the last few months. This also lives down my road. According to my local garage it comes out once a year for the MOT and that's about it.Which explains why it's another local car I've never seen before (or since). Spotted at Duxford in the staff car park. The rest seen out on my travels... This guy made my day, using his Granada as Messrs Ford intended - he was doing well over 80. Clean Astra in daily use. Great to see a CF2 still earning a living - and looking so well looked after. The only non-scene VW?   I'd seen this giffer-driven Datsun many times before getting half a chance of a piccie.  A rare sight now. In fact not exactly common when new. And a tarp' challenge to finish.

worldofceri
What is up? Anyone fancy a bit more shaky-cam shite from the WorldOfCeri? 2CV going shopping. Piazza nearly got away. As did this supa-clean Dolomite. These two were parked next to each other. Herald was on Ebay recently.   And lastly, this Minor was getting a bit of M40 action. Occupants were an elderly couple with a top of the range sat-nav suckered to the windscreen. Respect due. That's all for now folks. DeeJay and Magnificent Rustbucket
worldofceri
Time for an update. In chrono-mo-ligical order: Every independent retailer should have a promotional vehicle. VW Santana as posted elsewhere. This Commer properly made my day. In contrast to my usual reticence I didn't hesitate to give the old boy a thumbs up.  This still languishes 'twixt a Luton petrol station and hand car wash. The door was ajar so I had a peek inside. This was comically rusty and I wanted to go back for a proper look but I didn't like to draw attention to myself by performing a bizarre manoeuvre in a (liveried) lorry on a residential street. I'd already pretty much done an emergency stop. Wedding spec Chevy.   Richard Bucket spec Rover. It isn't even car-shaped. I don't know if this is ever used as it always seems to be parked in exactly the same spot. A Winner clearly lives here. May be familiar to those who go to the Croxley Green show. Bonus Yank just across the road. Porsche garden ornament. And lets finish off for now with this majestic creature. More will follow when I can be arsed to upload to Photobucket, which takes bloody ages on this laptop. brammy777
Dunno why nobody has commented on this, some extremely good spottage there Ceri, nice work. Just a quick question, what is that two tone comically rusty car? Difficult to tell, for some reason I seem to be thinking facelift MKI Carlton or Stellar, probably isn't either. I seem to vaguely recall that Zastava from when I went to Luton, although that could be my mind playing tricks on me.....

worldofceri
Cheers guys. Mk2 Craig, U R RITE. (Good job, cause I thought it was a Toyota.) Anyway, 'puter and internet seem to be working fairly quickly tonight, so here's some moar: This would have been local to me when new, judging by the reg. Two VW for the price of one.  Do these look betterer and betterer as the years go by or what? Ouch.  If your eyesight is good enough, please tell me what this is. Props to the young lass who drives this for carting her sprogs around in it. Strikes me as a 'family owned from new' type of car. Bonnet tied to the bumper with a bungee. Been there. Next two are from Gibraltar. I visit my dad there once a year and always come back wishing I'd done more tat hunting. This was delivering diesel, I think. Honest MkI Golf diesel. Renault 5 shaped garden ornament. Very tidy looking R4 in a Vauxhall dominated car park. This looks like it was recently dragged from a swamp or summert. Someone inform us what it is please. My uneducated guess is Morris.  These are everywhere as we know. LHD and ringer plates suggest this is a recent import. Nice Westfalia conversion; I wouldn't kick it out of bed. This surprised me being parked up around the corner from my house as I'd never seen it before. And finally, a tax free Mini en route to having it's VIN chiselled off. (Possibly.) mk2_craig and DeeJay

worldofceri
VERY HIGH QULIYAT OF SPOTTAGE!!! Thanks. Here's some moar: First up. This minty fresh little stunner has turned up near my gaff. Frankly I fear for it's safety as it's not the best place in the world to park a car in the street. Hopefully it has a garage to retire to come Autumn. Pogweasal Pink Volvo. Belmont. 'Bahnstorming Bimmer. DS in Oxford. Early 3 door Range Rover. Beige! I think there must be a rule at this dodgy-looking boozer near my house that only grim-looking motors may be parked outside. Look At This!!1! German registered Setra in it's natural habitat: Toddington services! I really hoped a gaggle of moustachioed Bavarian pensioners and their ample wives would come ambling out of the services and climb aboard, but the driver appeared to be on his own. Vanden Plas! Bloke over the road from me had this briefly. Next two from Leamington Peace Festival! LDV Convoys and VW LT35s seem to be the wheels of choice for new-age-enviro-mentalist types these days. This was the only proper hippy bus I saw. Last year there was a super-fit lass serving ice creams from this wob-filled beauty. This year it was some bloke. Disappointing. (Good ice-cream though.) Couple of rods.  Riley Elf. Thought I recognised the bloke driving this. I think it was the long-haired fella off of Practical Classics. Last and, arguably, least: This is one of those cretinous creations designed to look like a split-screen VW Type 2 from the front. Can't really tell from this angle though. Soz. Ta ta for now. Magnificent Rustbucket
trigger
Fab spots!, That bus is stunning, what a joy that must have been to drive over! and the Ital ice cream van is also a WINMOBILE! 1100/10!
BMC Dan
Looks like you've spent some time round my neck of the woods. The red Mk4 Tina (which never seems to move) is about 15 minutes from my house and I often see the white Dolly 1300 around Hemel. Think I recognise the Riley Elf too, looks like it was snapped at the petrol station opposite Tring market?
