KruJoe
No pez-stop shot, as it was half a mile from home, collected on Cameron's warm-up lap. So you'll have to make do with a veg pump pic. brickwall, saucedoctor and M'coli
DSdriver
What's the prob with different tyre sizes on front and rear?
KruJoe
I just noticed it's a 25, not a 200 / 214 etc! 1.4Ie 16v. The wheels were a present to the previous owner from some mates, as it needed tyres at the time. It needs tyres again now, most are bald and/or cracked, and need regular pumping. KruJoe
It has been in the same family for a LONG time (same trail of owners as the £50 Maestro 1.3 I had off them in about 2001). OMG LOW MILES. And eml. Yay. Lacquer Peel and Bucketeer

KruJoe
I'm off out to try that, and have more of a look I think the down pipe is still blowing, so could be summert to do with that.
Dick Longbridge
What sort of ballcocks is that about different sized tyres on the front axle vs. the rear? Our MR2 was built new with 15's on the front and 16's on the rear. Did the tester advise on the choice of radio station set on the stereo as well? Ghosty
(same trail of owners as the £50 Maestro 1.3 I had off them in about 2001). LOL, so this was the replacement? What did they replace it with for you to get in 2030?
KruJoe
A BMW 1 has replaced this, on a business hire deal*. Though they've run the 25 alongside one of the first RAV4 Diesels for quite a few years, which is now demoted to dog(ging) car and handyman's van (more of that later...) They did half-joke that I might be getting a call about the RAV in a bit, we'll see. I wouldn't kick that out of bed for farting, especially if it could be persuaded onto "alternative fuels". Like a mini-Pleasure-Wagon. For Fiats Sake, cms206, JohnK and 1 other
For Fiats Sake
I had an advisory for different size tyres. The tester was apologetic, apparently it just has to be noted and as long as different tyre sizes aren't on the same axle is not a problem. Just ministry bollocks. forddeliveryboy
RAV4 vegging machine? I'd twin tank it and start with a 50/50 mix in the main to begin with. Would be interesting to hear at what level of abuse the Jap stuff failed. KruJoe
KruJoe
Indeed, when they've tumbled to our pay-grade, there'll be nowt to loose by trying it. I'd love to coax a D4D onto WVO. I've done no reading on it yet, its time will come It looks very much like this, but more battered, with under-trays hanging off.
KruJoe
Tonight's pics now uploaded. dog(ging) car and handyman's van For viewers without Smellyvision, imagine "gloss paint". Can confirm new batt and alt. Cashback. Ooh. Electric sunshine roof. A lovely* (water) feature? Coupled with manual winders all 'round. The last time I saw that combo was in the late '80's on my mother's old 190D (D54 DHA). Looked like this: Whenever he sat in it, Pa_KJ buzzed the roof back so his pork pie hat could poke out the top; rain or shine. doobietoo
You can smell that car just from the pictures....as it already has a water feature and it's *not going to rain today just jetwash the whole car inside and out and jack up one side to drain the water... KruJoe
Right, before I give this any more time that I don't have, does anyone here want this for nowt? Come and get it if you want to make a go of it. Or keep it for spares if you run one yourself. Stay away if you're just gonna cart it down to Green's and bridge it, I could do that myself. I haven't crawled under it yet, but externally it seems solid. Previous brake line advisories could be an MOT worry. It does drive really well, no bad noises other than downpipe(?) blow, it feels surprisingly modern. The brakes are face-suckingly keen, but nicely progressive. I think it beats even my BX on braking ability. Really impressive. It doesn't feel soggy inside, but I haven't had a feel around all the carpet. Dare you!
