May need a new MAF.

Or some other riotously expensive parts...

Oh it's a bloody good job that doesn't have a towbar or I'd have a go at it.

I don't think that engine would be ideal for towing, I suspect there's not a lot of low down torque.

I know it's not ideal, but I do fancy having a go at a 166 V6 sometime. I enjoyed the 164s.

-I really fancy some mid-90s J-dross again, like this posh Carina E Executive. I reckon £500 would get a good 'un.

-ofcourse if I were COMPLETLEY INSANE I might consider a Xedos 6.

Last year this perticular plan was shot-down by insurance costs higher than i was willing to stomach, since then I've moved out of the parent's house and had a fault claim. I never though insurance would still be a problem when I'm pushing 30 yrs old.....

If you do, go for a 3 litre - preferably with a 6-speed manual. The 2.5s aren't that much quicker than the 2-litres and they're just as thirsty as a 3.0. I had a 3.0 with the 4-speed tiptronic box and it was bloody quick, but undergeared for such a big engine.

2-litre TS doesn't have a great deal of low-down pull, but again the 2-litres are pretty low geared for a big car so would imagine it would make an adequate tow vehicle - or you could lob in a 2.4 JTD from a dead Marea.

I had a 164 TS and it wasn't a bad thing, the 3.0s I had were much more fun, as you say.

Dammit. I need a big, comfy towing beastie with LPG. Not a bloody Alfa. Yet I'm looking through ebay.

A-hem. £850, tow bar and 150,000 miles what could possibly go wrong?

I had one of these! Petrol engine, ok, and no side windows, but bloody comfy seats! Considering before it I had a Viva van (yeah, I know, Bedford HA) it was a palace. You pull the indicator stalk not to flash the headlights, or even wash the screen... but to honk the horn! How mad is that??? VJP 127S is long dead now of course...

COCK CORNER:

How can you build a replica of something that was never produced?

!CCMrv-g!2k~$(KGrHqMOKjEE0iJb6g80BNKbDnZ),g~~_12.JPG

Theres so much wrong with this I don't know where to start. The wheels are wrong. There. thats a starter.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

Not sure if this should be in "cock corner" or not. You decide.

!CBLc6m!BGk~$(KGrHqQOKi!E0BmFDtFlBNGk5n7gE!~~_12.JPG

I'm really undecided, the wheels are a bit flash I reckon, but overall the car looks like a honey. I'm not against RIMZYO! but I reckon these are a bit big @ 17", ie half the size of my penis. £800BIN. The car that is, not my tallywhacker.
