CIH
-I really fancy some mid-90s J-dross again, like this posh Carina E Executive. I reckon £500 would get a good 'un. -ofcourse if I were COMPLETLEY INSANE I might consider a Xedos 6. Last year this perticular plan was shot-down by insurance costs higher than i was willing to stomach, since then I've moved out of the parent's house and had a fault claim. I never though insurance would still be a problem when I'm pushing 30 yrs old.....

I know it's not ideal, but I do fancy having a go at a 166 V6 sometime. I enjoyed the 164s.If you do, go for a 3 litre - preferably with a 6-speed manual. The 2.5s aren't that much quicker than the 2-litres and they're just as thirsty as a 3.0. I had a 3.0 with the 4-speed tiptronic box and it was bloody quick, but undergeared for such a big engine. 2-litre TS doesn't have a great deal of low-down pull, but again the 2-litres are pretty low geared for a big car so would imagine it would make an adequate tow vehicle - or you could lob in a 2.4 JTD from a dead Marea.
