Angrydicky
Seriously, that's an absolute bargain - if I had a 7.5 tonner, the space and it was local I would probably buy it...just because I could and I'll probably own another Acclaim one day
eddyramrod
If I was within reach I reckon I wouldn't be able to resist... of course that would mean buying an Acclaim to justify the stock! Reckon I could manage that, they should be fine for daily duties. I'll take a Trio-Matic in black please...

eddyramrod
1700V4 and 2300V6 were the German engines, which all of continental Europe would have been sent. I'd nearly bet on the Kent/Essex engines being UK-only. When the inspector at the Transport Department tried to look up my Granada (Essex 2.5V6) on his computer, it kept throwing up 2.3, 2.6, 2.8, but no 2.5. And we aren't even mainland here! eddyramrod
Yurrup got a 1.3 Pinto, I'm led to believe! Certainly the Kent is well-enough known over here, but then Cyprus was part of the British Empire when such a thing existed, so that shouldn't be so shocking. You'd think a government department wouldn't clear the low-volume models off the system though, even if they are nearly 40 years old...

Shep Shepherd
1989 Volvo 740 Turbodiesel estate. A bit skanky, but it would probably make a good 'run until it breaks' daily driver and a good source of spares thereafter: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 3D1&_rdc=1 Myself, I'd either treat it to a rolling restoration, or if it was too far gone, rag it until it blew up, whereupon I'd remove the best bits from it to use as spares for The Volvo
