3500 grand for a 405? Really?

Would Sir care for a brochure?

The vehicle has been produced with the aim of providing the Iranians with a high-standard and modern car.[/size]

Well, compared to a camel or indeed a goat Paykan Hunter, it's modern alright.

Just checked on eBay Mondeo mk1s, £2500 for a mk1 4x4, bit of a shed flat paint etc...

2 fairly low milers punted on at £4,500 - realistically a grands worth no more...

Might stick mine up at £2,000 its only done 69k. If some fool will give me £2,000 I'd take that gladly!

Fool/money = soon parted.

GLWS!  :-D

Good point.  Tehran is right out.

Not only that, as personal car imports get a 300% value tax slapped on them at port, it's quite likely the paperwork allowing departure would be just a lively.

However.

IKCO do export to Afghanistan, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Russia, Senegal, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, UAE, Venezuela.

I can see one of those being more fruitful: flights to Sofia it is, then.  It just might work!  LdaDGrmWIyEKROYagnRa.gif

Find out who the importer is and get them to order you a shell; trailer a crispy 405 of choice over for Shitefest and have fun* swapping all the gear over, cube the crispy remnants and bring the rest back for tea and medals. :D

That might also result in the only RHD Peugeot Pars in existence.

^^ That's pretty much my take on it too. That 405 is nice enough for sure & I too wouldn't pay £1.5K for a saloon but I might pay something around that price for a similar condition/mileage etc. estate as they are useful beasts and getting hold of an old school (ie: one with a sensibly sized and shaped load bay) estate can be difficult as they tend to get worked to death.

Somewhat shy of 3,500 but it shows where they are heading.

Pretty much along the same lines as the previous nice one London way that went for 1600 ish. There are more of this model going by than the others by a very long shot but it did look particularly good. Only thing I can't work out is why the one that went for 3.5K doesn't show up in the sold items list any more. The links to the sale are still there if posted elsewhere but it's missing from the recent list completely?

There is a rwd option iirc? Maybe the 406 is the better car but they just have that generic what is that thing apart from the coupe? Plus ecu's and Peugeot's acclaimed electrics and sensors on some so personally I'd rather stay old skool.

The RWD option will deffo fuck up its ICD Roadhandling System.

We should collectively source, import and roffle a piece of exotic, possibly brand new shite from some far flung corner of the globe.

Check out these beauties still (or until very recently) in production;
