Lord Sterling's spotted shite - THREAD RESURRECTION!! 😳

Want.

Aren't you on Flickr? I could swear I saw interior shots of that Daihatsu ages ago from after you cleaning it out.

I am indeed on Flickr, the Daihatsu was the Sirion? Little Green thing with a Eurocamp mat in it? It was one of our company cars, in fact the only one owned by the company, the rest were leased 2013 Skoda Fabias. The Sirion was not used by us unless the other house borrowed our Skoda Fabia.

Some brilliant stuff there LS, great spottage. Hard to pick a favourite but I love that Cavalier estate, seriously rare now. The Maestro Clubman looks stupendously clean as well.

The FB Victor is 171 FUY, a local Worcester registration, last tax disc expired end of Feb 1997. Guess it's been sitting there since then, poor thing.

It is indeed rare, however, I seemed to missed uploading another Cavalier estate, in the same colour that I saw in Telford not a few weeks back.

Glad you found the reg for the FB Victor, it belongs to the father of the fella who owns the Black Sterling. I'm off to see him today so no doubt we'll be chatting about these old cars.

I found some other pics I'd missed off the first time around, but as they were mixed in with more recent stuff, I'd decided to just chuck 'em on here. Aren't you lot lucky:

Volvo Estates here in this part of North Worcestershire seem to be almost as popular as up in Scotland. There doesn't seem to be a day that goes by without me seeing one of these Turbo brick things:

THE SAINT Volvo:

When I worked for a living recently, I spotted this outside some house. Made enquiries and apparently it's up for £900, Original engine apparently, needs work though.

These are great, LS...Particularly the bloke who has TWO '57 Chevrolets on his front garden. What's with the straw around that W126, d'you think? Crap nativity scene or trying to leach some damp out of the sills? Thanks for showing us these - some nice spots there.

Cheers Rocker man!

The stuff around the 126 looks like some half-arsed attempt at clearing their garden where they just sort of gave up half way and shoved the foliage by the unused Merc.

Your spots are my spots except I can't be arsed with photographing half them!!

The blue j plate R8 Rover is a 218td which I sold to my mate with a genuine 70,000 miles and two owners from new ☺

Body getting a bit tatty now though

The Volvo is genuinely the Saint car and is owned by the chap with the Volvo fetish who has got a 480 shell on his drive, I'm sure you know who i mean!

Wow! Interesting....

Yes, I was told about the Saint car being genuine and I often see that shell of a Volvo 480, I think it was a celebration.

Does the 218TD live near Callow Hill? I remember passing there one time and seeing the same coloured R8 on a bit of land in front of a house where there was a load of other shitey cars in various states of disrepair.

Yes that's the chap, good mate of mine. He has serious car collection issues. Has loads but they are all knackered. Works on one for a bit then gets bored and does another.

Got barn full of shite too

Interesting. I wonder if it is worth approaching him and asking about possible storage? Apparently the neighbours who saw me pull into his drive told me he is quite an amiable bloke who could about cars for hours. Where my cars are now are Ok but not great so I'm looking for undercover storage if possible.

Intel required on the Espero!

Espero has also been standing for a while according to the moss growing underneath it. Then again, this is Autohsite and many of us like a challenge (except me)

Particularly impressed to see the Legend, looks to be enthusiast-owned? Been a good few years since I last saw one of that generation.

Seriously man, this guy had 4 cars under car covers and something like 8 around the side. I really want to see if there are any series 1 Sterlings under there or see what they are at least, I reckon it's all mid 80s Honda stuff possibly. The mad thing is, I passed this road a few times before in nicer weather, my curiosity was pinged but I didn't take any notice.

Sorry he has no space for other people's cars!

I'm stuck for some decent storage too, I only have indoor space for 5 and that's nowhere near enough!

I'm always looking for other premises for myself though,

Hey Tom! I might know of more storage if you are willing to leave cars inside those old metal shipping containers. There is a chap around here that has some. I bet you know him too.
