    Freelander - opinions

They are the sort of vehicle that you can't really relax with always something looming on the broken list. Saying that I got this for £750 with clean MOT and 10 months left. Quite like it, the wife likes it which is a bonus! Big comfy and not too sluggish since I unplugged the MAF. Came with 2 sets of wheels both with pretty ropey tyres though. They are matching and loads of tread but aged and not as airtight as they could be. Which is an issue for 4WD system. So new tyres is a big commitment! Not decided yet.

  8. Late as usual but some pics of my trip up to Drum's abode to borrow the fly tipper. Needing to move some soil and pissed off filling bags it seemed a good idea 5 minutes into journey, someone parked in a puddle! Returned with the spoils! To find Drum fettling Roffle Omega. Spoil dumped but severious lack of traction led to a bit of rescue work. Rescue vehicle must've started! Bit like signalling a new Pope Looks a bit spikey. "hope tae fuck I dinnae get a sudden rush o grip" JOB JOBBED!

  12. I found keeping the pressure washer away from door locks helped. But spent many miles holding onto a door driving home from work just to stop it flying open. Trick is only open what you can hold. Hate and pleasure not always in equal measure sums up 75 ownership
  13. Lots on line I looked at for my engine preference ( Rover L series). I read far too much I should've just got on with it (cheap car WCPGW) Stuck in 20 litres diesel then topped up with 20 litres veg. Bit off faff trying to hold strainer and large bottle of veg. and pour at same time! But results were fine starts easy and runs good. Smells a little different. In summer I'll go to 75% mix. Even tempted to buy something L series a bit more comfy than current 25. This being current watch list material https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F332924180775
