Pleasure to meet @wesacosa, @brownnova (famous!), @Schaefft, @LightBulbFun and to see @Sunny Jim again.

Edit: forgot @coachie

Dang I must have missed you, next time!

What an excellent day, good to see so many familiar and new faces! I've forgotten all names now...😂

I didn't take many pics, being on my own was a good chance to just walk around! Bar the above pics all I really took was:

PXL_20260418_102717085.jpg.9dfe6a9c20df14709720f30d1bd27533.jpg

This audi to show my gran who called mid morning

PXL_20260418_115336204.jpg.6c8b0c56e253d39fa75edfb3a9a26046.jpgand a henry I saw in the workshop! I did keep half an eye on des but he had a constant crowd around him all day 😂

PXL_20260418_134825149.jpg.1522f5a4120be086c49a59c6b9fa8c9d.jpg

After 3pm I switched modes. A fellow shiter and vacuum cleaner collector was present so I drove my car out of the visitors parking and they let me into the show area 👌

The 2 Hotpoint Juniors are being returned fully restored, and I have the Goblin omni, hoover celebrity (easy, don't a few of those) and probably the rarest vacuum cleaner ever, the Hotpoint Swallow. I know of 2 or 3 others in existence. And I imagine I caused a few people to gasp in anger/amazement at a j10 qashqai parked at Rustival (for the 45 mins or so it was there)

That someone collects and preserves old vacuum cleaners truly gladdens my heart! 👍

I got home fine with a quick detour to collect a Minidisc deck. Thanks to @dollywobbler and the team for organising a great day out and @Sunny Jim for organising the AS stand and meeting Cuthbert was nice too.

Highlight of the day was the museum bringing out one of the Rover jet cars for a run, it's not everyday you see a car with a rev counter that reads to 60'000 rpm!

I made it to Rustival 4, but we didn't get in until after 11 and was sent straight to the naughty step (visitors car park). I utterly failed to be sociable, sorry about that!

This time around I had a good poke around the collection centre as its packed with some really interesting motors.  Also I devoured a massive pork bap, which was lovely and I have taken some crap pictures, including some interesting cars in the visitor car park...

The XK8 performed faultlessly covering about 190 miles today at 20mpg..... eak.

929 goodness

What a show, I was in my element with all the Rovers 😂 - the museum and automobila sale upstairs netted me some awesome stuff, I'll post that up when I'm back

Sadly completely failed to catch any of you, apart from @egg yesterday evening and briefly today. Spent ages in the museum and by the time I came out of there it was time everyone was leaving 😅 I thought it carried on til 4, not 3 🤔

Sorry not to talk to everyone, but @Skizzerdid say hello before we left.

I did make it in the end, although it ended up being a bit hectic and I didn't get a chance to properly chat to anyone.

Absolutely fantastic show though, will definitely try to make the next one as well.

Great day out and good to meet so many of you and put a face and car to the username. Thanks to @Sunny Jim for organising us into a group and liasing with the organisers, and also allowing my mate in the Peugeot 405 GLX to join us. Nice to see @wesacosa and @LightBulbFun again a week after the Flower Farm meet up. My mate said he overtook Lightbulbfan on the M40 and couldn't believe the speed the Invacar was cracking along at 😄

A very friendly show to visit with the added bonus of good weather and a museum to browse. Next time I will check the visitors car park as there is some extra value to be found there!

I was upstairs in the jag building when they fired that up to drive it out and it sounded insane inside the building 😂 Then you look and it's barely driving above tick over but sounds literally like it's about to leave the runway

No coins but somebody gave us a whippet.

Great to see folks although there were a few of you I managed to miss. A grand day out; lovely weather, great selection of cars and a wonderful selection of people. The event has grown but keeps its friendly ethos.

Huge thanks to @dollywobbler and the other organisers for a job well done. See you at the next one.

long day but very enjoyable. Great to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones.

thanks for organising the stand @Sunny Jim, I think it really added something extra having an AS corner

It was great to meet some Autoshiters (and their dogs) earlier and have a chat.  Thanks @Sunny Jim for organising the AS stand and well done @dollywobbler for a great show. I think you've nailed it with the low-key, everything welcome atmosphere.

Sorry I didn't get to speak to more people from here - it was quite hard to distinguish autoshiters from the general population around the autoshite area, so sorry if I saw you but didn't say hello.

I can only echo the comments of others, great cars and good company.

I’ve enjoyed meeting everyone and putting faces to user names. The cars bought along by autoshite members looked great.

I met most people who parked on the autoshite section I think, except for @RoverFolkUs who has a lovely 620 that’s a real credit to him, @LightBulbFun who always seemed to have a crowd around him (the Invacar is an impressive bit of kit though), @grogee although I did have a drool over the Maestro and finally whoever turned up in the Austin Six, which I also liked very much. Apologies to those I missed, nothing meant by it!

I’m not much of a photographer, but here’s a picture of my car in the lovely sun we enjoyed today (to help cement cars to user names!)

Have you bought a DS yet? 😂

Home now, great day out, just as last time! Thanks again to Jim, Ian and everybody else who helped organize our little corner, and @grogee@Andyrew and @Alan_Green for the shitely support to get these wheels and car parts home! It was much appreciated, let me know if you ever need anything delivered from the North East! And naturally to everyone else who showed up today!

The Cadillac did great as well. I'm still not sure which category exactly I won my award in but hey!😂

Many thanks to everyone who took turns pushing me about the show in the wheel chair! it really made a difference as so I was not *completely* broken by the end of the day, only mostly broken LOL

and thanks to @mat_the_cat and @beko1987 for the complimentary ice cream and cheesy chips respectively, first time I have ever had cheesy chips I think!

and of course many thanks to everyone who as kind and to @dollywobbler and folk for organising the show :)

I did not take many photographs, I was mostly just enjoying the old shite :)

IMG_4267.jpeg.d902003704c75883002c4339368aa41d.jpeg

the Rover Jet car was amazing, I had no idea it existed, I knew of the Rover Jet cars, Jet 1 and the Rover P6 as well as the Jet race cars, but I had no idea about this prototype, I wonder what its details/story was, it was so awesome they got it running for the show

IMG_4268.jpeg.3e8763ddd18e18fee23e3e7564e28cc1.jpeg

(I love the single headlamp it reminds me of the Routemaster Test rigs, @Yoss will know what im on about!)

IMG_4269.jpeg.4cfbccf59f60626d89cbe5a04aafee56.jpeg

I think the only other car I photographed "stand alone" was @Schaefft's Land Yatch :)

IMG_4270.jpeg.432086db4372e1b36636ef58e88cdeb5.jpeg

I also got this shot :)

Can't remember the last time I saw one of those, can you? And just fantastic preserved condition. Though I'm not sure you'd want to

I had a good chat with the owner of this. My dad had the 3 door estate version back in the mid 80s and was scrap by about 1987 so amazing to see this one going and brought back some childhood memories. Apparently it sat in a factory building for years and then a barn explaining why its still in existence

Apologies for my non-attendance. My chronic fatigue got the better of me and I was too knucking fackered to go. Glad to see everyone had a good time; looked like a glorious gathering of chod.

Lost hours in the museum and car parks. Sorry to say we barely spoke to the autoshitists. Next year we will bring something more interesting!
