my wife has just told me a girl she works with took her 2 kids, 2 and 6 to a trampolining place , when she got there it was £12 each for an hour , then the owner told her she'd have to go on with the 2 years old so another £12 then she noticed the kids hadn't got socks on so she'd have to buy 2 pairs at £6 a pair , so £48 for an hours bouncing

A few sessions like would pay for the trampoline.

Neighbours have cut down a big tree behind our house.

There had been a tree protection order on it. The woman that lives there was always complaining about it so I reckon she's copper nailed it and got it removed.

Feel a bit agrophobic now looking out of the office window with it not there.

They're doing it on the other side of the road now.

Wasn't everybody not-that-worried about Covid-19 when it first came up, too?

How about we just release smallpox from whatever labs it's contained in and wipe out the rest of the world?

Freegle and a polite request as children enjoy trampoline and expensive to take them may result in FREE trampoline

This. I couldn't give my kids trapoline away. Full cage with it too and hardly used. It fucked the lawn completely underneath and to thank me I ended up in hospital through it.

Cutting the fucker up with my grinder without eye protection (I KNOW) and I got three sparks in my eye. I lasted a month of my eye killing and streaming before taking myself to the RVI in Newcastle. I expected just a consultation but no, there and then they clamped my head in a vice like contraption, shone a big magnifying sun lumins light in my eye and proceded to pick the sparks out with a hypodermic needle. I loved the clicking noise as she picked at my eye mercilessly while saying I'll see you in a few months time when you use the grinder without eye protection again. I nearly feinted when I stood up afterwards and they had to sit me next to a big fan.

I wear goggles now.

Not sure why if you wanted her dead, you wouldn't just wait patiently.  Can't be more than a few months away......

"1 elderly owner from new" - usually a good thing, right?

Wrong

Older gentleman today brought his beemer in for its MOT. He said he's had it from new, 63 plate off the top of my head, he defo said 7 or 8 years, could we please carry out its first (!) oil change

Was an N47 time bomb. God help his timing chain...

He said "it's absolutely perfect and there's nothing wrong with it. I don't need a service, just an oil change please"

Yes it's only done about 20k miles, but that's even worse really.

Moral of the story, if it's a 1 owner from new but the paperwork was "lost", don't believe it!!

He was trying to do us all a favour, this way we get the extra bank holiday when the weather is good. Fair play to him.

Bin day today, hear the truck, go out to collect my bin and it's gone! There's a fucked looking one with no number left instead. Half an hour of searching and pretending to be Hercule Potroast before I remembered I've got the dashcam in the car turned on in parking mode.

Drumroll.... my bin was stolen by cunt next door. Grabbed it back and may have moved theirs 200 yards down the street.

Our old neighbours did that to us, I was away for a bit and came back 2 days after bin day and our bin was gone. Looked over the fence and saw it on their yard, next to their own bin. Clearly had our house number on it etc.

I went round and found it full of rubbish. Red mist came over me and I went round, tipped the bags of rubbish out of it and kicked them open all over their lawn then hammered on their door as I walked off with my bin.

Not proud, it was a stupid thing to do as there's nothing to be gained by arguing with idiots. I got lucky and it put them in their place rather than escalating anything

All our neighbours have fancy stickers on their bins with numbers....I used an old can of spray paint.

When I moved in (new estate) the council kept on delivering sets of wheelie bins to my house . I'd come home after work to find another 4 bins outside my front door. I had 16 bins at one point 🤣. I gave most of them away but I kept an extra set. They are very handy in the shed for storing crap!

So after having a go at me on Facebook for no reason at all a couple of times in the last couple of weeks, a real-world acquaintance of mine unfriended and blocked me, saying "Sorry mate, I don't know what it is about you but you just rub me up the wrong way. Haven't liked you since the second I met you, so best we part ways. Again, it's nothing in particular, it's just how it is."

It's lucky I don't have an ego to bruise anymore, otherwise that would have hurt! Awkward thing is, he's the fiancé of another friend I've known for 15 years. That's going to be an awkward wedding invite...

I mean he could have probably just unfriended you and you wouldn't have noticed for weeks.... but oh no, he just had to make a point of it.

Buy him build-a-bear vouchers or something equally shite for his wedding gift!

That's what gets me... not everyone gets on, it's a fact of life. Sometimes you do take an immediate and irrational dislike to a person. That's human, done it myself before. No need to be a dickhead about it though.

They're getting a fucking fondue set now.

We're the same. I used to use them as a workspace for when spray painting small items. When the bastarding things blow away I know the bins are ours from the gold over-spray.

Wales was the same yesterday. (Or at least my bit) I was out driving at 7.30 PM and had the lights and wipers on.
