Split_Pin
Excelent find of a Sunday afternoon and hats off to the owner for the purchase price and subsequent mileage. Surely if it's not given him much trouble then that must be the lowest running cost per mile of any car!

Ben_L
My father in law told me about a man in Colchester who collects old Fiats and after a look on google streetview i found this great 900e van in the street so i decided to take a look, sadly it had all gone about from this 126, My guess is that they are all in the lock ups now. I know this chap, he had two vans (One red, one white), a Fiat 126 BIS and a Fiat Saloon (Early 70's looking). All very nice, but they've all gone. The van could be opened without the key using a hole in the floor and I think the council took objection to some/all of them not being taxed for 15 years or more! Split_Pin
That Minx looks like time has stood still for it since 1972. The shiny paint is at odds with the tidemarked sills. The car is a credit to the only owner, which is incredible in itself. I do hope it goes to a good home once Mr & Mrs decide to give up drivign if ever. I love pre 1973 cars that are fitted with white/yellow reflective plates like that, it gives them an added bit of patina I think.

trigger
It's been a LONG while since i posted on here, namely because the lazy spotted thread was easier to find. So here a update from the last few weeks to share. This Golf belongs to my shite hero, uncle Eric, as long as i can remember he's owned shite, Renault 4's, Austin Maxi's, Volvo 340's, Morris Itals, Volvo 440, Mondeos (including my old TD GLX for £300) and currently this old Golf 1.3 4 speed that he paid £50 for 5 years ago, he drives it all over the country as well. This had been parked in a driveway in Colchester town centre since 2003, I'm amazed it's never been vandalised. This belongs to the daughter of a work mate. Mrs. Trigger found this Cossie powered Granny around the corner. Now these are from my recent Norfolk trip, This very tidy XR3i was being driven by a older gentleman. Rather tidy (although a bit scabby) Metro Advantage in Cromer. The owners of this 1927 Austin 7 were from Herefordshire and were on some car club rally touring Norfolk, normally they drive it to Germany. Cromer beach is full of old Fordson tractors. Now here's some mega expensive shite, hidden in a victorian looking bunch of flats drive were this 1977 Rolls Royce Camargue and this 1981 Aston Martin Lagonda, the tax ran out in 2011 for the AM but the Rolls is still showing as taxed, Sorry about the utter crap photos but they were on private property and there was a bush in the way. Around the corner some 4x4 thing had lost it's caravan in the middle of the road, I caught this common camper with teardrop trailer just passing the police officer who was directing the traffic. I saw this Montego twice being driven by a young lad, the stickers were interesting. These two were in the garage where i broken down along with a early Mini van and a Rover P5. This gorgeous Cortina 1600 GT was belongs to a chef at a hotel in Blakeney. Every shop in Wroxham is called Roy's and all the people we saw were called Roy too, I suspect the owner of this awful PT was also a Roy. Nova also in Wroxham. This belonged to a old boy who used to have some involvement in the local classic car scene for many years before being bought by a local lad, it's now in Norfolk, expect cut springs soon. and lastly this really rubbish photo i took tonight of a mint E reg Belmont Jubilee on the A14. trigger
I've can't believe i haven't updated this for nearly 2 years!, There's probably loads of stuff to post but for now here's a few i spotted today in Long Melford, It's like a mecca for old shite, as well as these i also saw a old boy in a G reg Granada 2.0i Ghia X and a black G reg Saab 900 Turbo saloon with some 4x2 coming out the sunroof, and a few MGB's and a E type. I saw this Bedford driving about working for living! This was fab, the rear parcel shelf was just full of old period car speakers. Rusty old truck. Have a few older spots as a bonus too, I can't remember if I've posted them before. This old diesel R8 cost the owner £100 6 or 7 years ago and it's still his daily!. This belongs to a workmate. and this Merc belongs to a new neighbours father, It's done over 200k!. Was beauty was outside Carpetright. later in the day i saw it again in Felixstowe with a mate. And the car club i run had a track day at the Lotus test track at Hethel a few months back. Hairnet turned up and done a few laps. This were his flaps after a few corners. Genuine Cossie. TVR 5.0 V8 power Trumpet, It done a tank of fuel in less than a hour! Some old test cars growing mould in a hedge. and i never knew Proton made a MPV, future shite for sure. danthecapriman, mercrocker, RobT and 3 others
