So do I. Really wanted one , ended up with an Escort 1.6LX instead. When I finally got a Sapphire , it was a 1.8LX TD with 75bhp.

A friend of mine bought a Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 new. 

Within a week it had been stolen from his drive. Despite my friends protestation, his insurers insisted on a supplying 'like for like' replacement as they were still in production.. Once the claim went through, he received a matching new one. Funnily enough that disappeared a week later. 

He went through three before the insurers decided that replacing it with yet another one wasn't in their best interests.

My grandmother and (step) grandad had a similar talbot alpine. Bought new and he had a heart attack driving it the next week. He did drive it again but it was a couple of years and the tyres had perished.

Haven’t tried Sumitomo, but that sounds like they were a pretty hard compound to begin with? 🙂

Had the crashed Mazda 6 lifted on Tuesday, got £100 for it, better than paying to have it dragged away.

Tried to claim the tax back online and got nowhere.  I blame the DVLA website but it is probably me.

Cheque for the remaining tax came this morning.  Been and paid it in to the bank.  Possible to use the ATM or send a photo in but I would probably make a mess of it.
