Won some ZX alloys for £6.50 on eBay the other day. Sent seller a message straight away about collection.

48 hours and no reply. Sigh.

Crikey! Could have been much worse. Glad your alright though.

It's amazing how many people won't help or make sure your alright though. I once saw an old lady fall over in the street yet I was the only person who stopped to help her. Terrible.

Well I'm grumpy because I was doing my good deed in pulling over when there was space. Had I not bothered I'd have been fine.

Lady in the second car half opened her door and stuck he head through the window to ask if I was ok, said she'd seen it all. But woman in the SUV didn't even open her window.

First time I've crashed on a bike since I was about 8! I thought I was going to put Rapha's free repair service to the test, but the gilet is fine, just muddy. Luckily i was wearing roubaix longs for the first time this season so no road rash- just a couple of red lumps on my back I've just noticed. Neck is stiffening up a bit too.

Think I'll take the car in tomorrrow!

Liverpool airport short stay/drop off prices

Gatwick is still free for drive through drop off/ pick up, just don't go through the parking bit or you'll get stuck in a queue and not get out before you have to pay...

It would be awful if we got hold of his name and address for a good old fashioned Argos cataloging.

Would also be nice if the police did him for failing to report an accident or give details.

If said address should accidentally fall into my pm inbox I pass about 7 post boxes on the way to work, and amys going into town on Thursday, I'm sure she could pick me up 7 books...

Stansted is a pay to drop off airport too. Not pick up, though... I 'make a mistake' when I'm there.

Conveniently inacessible by foot without walking along a road with concrete barriers on each side, or  crossing a roundabout and climbing over a large grass embankment into the car park, as I found when I left my dad's old office 3/4 of a mile away.

It's owned by Manchester Airport Group - thank fuck they don't charge to drop off there though, trying to drop off there is a clusterfuck due to a combination of poor, low capacity design, and the sheer amount of minicabs there.

Blegh. I have huge puffy bags under my eyes as of this morning. Got my usual amount of sleep, but I now look like an undead panda. Not a good look.

Same with Southampton, but in their defence I've parked the Škodaghini in Short Term while I'm away for 10 days for a shade over £100.

Dublin airport is pay IIRC, but it's much simpler to either go round in circles and do a quick pickup at the set down areas or park in McDs or the pez station and wait for the call to do the same.

What's an "airport"?

Like a "train station" but much more glamorous.  Apparently.

Unless you are at Rotterdam which is like a Train Station but LESS glamorous

Hasn't been free to pickup for quite a while as pickup area is in the multi story carpark - the only drive through is departing drop off with a selection of "no-parking" attendants in attendance.  Obviously if you time it then picking up at the drop off is possible but from the insides of the terminals for arriving passengers there are no signs to the dropoff place.

Forgot that bit, yes we always get picked up from the drop off or walk through to the front of the hotel.

Bloody Audi advert writers..... That drag racing advert drives me nuts.. the first bit with the Yank doing a burnout is great but which  badger shagging cum bubble decided to subsitute the sound of a peugeot rally car soundtrack when it pulls away.... first world problems ...pendant...

Fucking parking eye can get in the fucking sea!!!

Overstayed apparently in the retail park in Llandudno.

Disabled missus wanted to walk round shops for a change and ended up going in nearly all the shops and spending a fucking fortune.

FUCK YOU PARKING EYE!!

Go back to the retail park with the penalty notice from PE, ask to speak to the manager and ask them to cancel it. Most of the time they will of you ask nicely and give them a valid excuse.

It occurred to me today that the Civic's MOT might be due soon, so I checked online - 29th July. Fecksticks. This is getting to be a proper habit with me now: the last 2 MOTs on the Fez were about 3 months late, despite the garage giving me a nice big plastic keyring tag with the expiry date in black marker.

Hazard warning lights used to legitimise f**ck-wittedness. Especially when you can only see one, and kindly wait so long in mid-traffic to let f-w out of the parking that you have to put your hazards on. And then you might as well nip to the cash point while you're stopped.

It is odd that you don't get a reminder like the VED. But it seems you can sign up for TXTs.

I did our companies annual return on Monday (now called a declaration). Seems it was due on the 15th- it always used to be th end of September but they hadn't sent a reminder.

Our accountants are also running a month behind on the accounts declaration despite us getting all the files to them in June. I need my calculated bonus to buy a traction!

Warning. Driving grump!

I was following some bell end today, driving down a normal urban road. Suddenly and without any signal whatsoever he swings out into the oncoming lane than swings back across to take a left turn. The left turn actually wasn't as it was a one way street. Exit only, with two huge no entry signs and painted one way arrows going the opposite direction to what he was trying to drive.

And apparently I'm a tosser for pointing this out to him?! Dick wad.

Then an hour or so later, A27 I'm following a hire van in left lane going over the eastern road bridge (eastbound), all of a sudden there's shit loads of stones and sparks flying everywhere in front of me!

Hire van quickly pulls over and the spare wheel carrier complete with spare wheel has come undone and dropped down and was being dragged along behind the van at 70mph!

You'd be a bit pissed if you'd just hired that.

This seems to be an increasing popular way to drive like a bellend - swing out to make a turn, as if your Vauxhall Astra is a fucking artic.

Resurfacing the road here; Again.

Fucking hell, they hadnt got round to re-painting the white lines since they were done last time, but here they are again.

Its the usual shit job of spraying piss-thin tar then dumping hundreds of tons of gravel, leveling it out a little and just fucking leaving it like that for the traffic to press the gravel down and push the excess into the ditch over the next six months. Motorcyclists fucking love it.

The half-assed job they do really, really annoys me, but what gives me the proper fucking rage is the whole "we have to spend the money on something...." attitude. Also, I obviously have no proof but I will eat my shoes if there isnt some backhanders going on between the surfacing company and the local authority.

Earlier this summer they "resufaced" the wee lane right in front of my house. It apparently cost about five grand to do not even 100 meters..... the bit they are re-doing this week is about 6 kilometers....... and the cunt of a mayor gets to trot out his standard reply to any request..."There is no money in the budget for that..." aye, thats because you have pissed it all away on utterly pointless road coverings you wanker.

"Surface dressing" is a big bag of wank, that's for sure. They did a load around here and on the tight turns, of which there are many, the trucks ripped the surface up after just a few days, so they then needed repairing. Aye. Sounds like a very efficient use of our money.

Mind you, truck drivers who hammer it through fresh surface dressings can piss off. Got a few chips on the Honda because of one such twat in Shropshire. Took the bloody racing line on a bend, at speed, sending a sea of gravel all over the front of the Honda. Wish I'd managed to see which bloody company it was.

Another incident was a pillock in a Mk4 Astra estate overtaking us in the 2CV. I was doing 40mph, which is an infinitely more sensible speed than the 10mph they seem to want you to do for about a fortnight after the dressing goes down, when the Astra overtook, then cut right in front of us, sending a load of gravel towards the windscreen (and chipping it - a brand new screen fitted last November) as he did so. ARSEHOLE.
