Home now, 262 miles done in 23 hours (pint of milk territory for Mr Fowler).

Sad to miss the after party!

Thanks to the Silvers for breakfast, Rich for bringing my Invacar engine, and Chris for the FoD!

I'll put up some photos later.

I'm glad I came, really nice day, nice to put some faces to the names. Loved this croma, super rare.

I'm gutted I couldn't make the field of dreams afterwards but I was under strict instructions with the wife to get home to watch the kids as she was going out, it wasn't all bad though as I won the show!

I'll do a better post and photos once the kids are asleep! (Rock n roll baby!)

Amazing, and well deserved. I also thought the 305 was great.

Personally I thought there was much nicer cars there, the 305 was amazing but the judges loved the story behind mine and that's what won it for me, I wasn't even trying to win!

Looks like a great time. My parents were staying with me last night and I had to work today so couldn’t come up.

Has the ratty Devonshire 305 derv shooting brake from shitefest made it?

Absolute belting day.

Three highlights for me. First of all going into full skid on the old A421 and Trigger nearly bumming me. (Here we are shortly before)

Some thank yous. Thanks to everyone for being lovely and not absolutely ripping the piss over my shirt. To Six Cylinder for his generosity and hospitality to everyone, and Brodders for falling off the scooter in the field and giving us all a good laugh. Oh, and how lovely of the silvers to welcome others to breakfast this morning.

Also big up to Trigger, Wuvvum, Brodders and SpottedLaurel for the convoy over!

Now home. Safe travels y’all. Xx

Saw you (great to meet you) and saw the car (impossible not to).

Didn't put 2 and 2 together until now!  The only thing finer than that motor car was your corduroys.  Incredible.

This honestly was one of the best shows I've ever been too, there was so much on my radar that I actually got a little overwhelmed by at all at home point!

The day started with me meeting Brodders at Tesco's and convoying to meet the others at Morrisons.

Definitely highlight of the breakfast was Brodders, I ordered my breaky first and got a table, meanwhile I see Brodders following a random chap with a patchy beard and glasses across the cafe, pulls a chair out and sits down next to him, I'm sitting from the other side watching him thinking he must know the bloke, they both look at each other and you can see the shock in his eyes that it he obviously thought this bloke was me! God we all just fell about laughing, he was so embarrassed, as was this random dude Brodders was getting cosy with! After much hilarity we moved on.

I won't post loads of photos as I'm on my phone and it's a hassle but I've never seen anything like it, it wasn't just the cars but the people too, I've chatted to SO many people that I know or know off, I really regret not getting chance to say hi to brownnova as I only clocked him when I won my prize and he was across the field with Mrs Brownnova, I saw 6Cyl but he was chatting to someone so didn't get chance to say hello either.

I can't pick a favourite car although this 240 got my pulses racing.

I will definitely be back again next year's, even if I have to book a days holiday and don't have a car to take!

Thank you to everyone who joined for the convoy and those I spoke to today, it was emotional.66f62798a7b8c811d737d2a54afe13d0.jpg

Thanks so much to @Six-cylinderand @Mrs6C (who I didn't even get to meet sadly and may have woken up with boomy exhaust noises) from myself and @Jim Bell, without your incredible hospitality he wouldn't have gotten a new car this week.  Mega disappointed to have missed the show, but we're definitely coming next year.

Also thanks to @quicksilverand @Slowsilverfor a tasty breakfast, and best of luck with the 6.

And to @Andyrewfor the vice and spade.

Nice to finally meet @catsinthewelder and @purplebargeken, as well as everyone else I met this morning (I would be tagging for along time!)

I've also realised I left an empty beer bottle in the tent, and I feel terrible for it.  I don't like leaving a mess behind me!

Well done @trigger!

Quite bizarrely it’s the first Omega I’ve ever sat in. What a beautiful thing - totally humbled my Avensis of the same era. And what a tune it plays too!!

I wouldn’t worry I’m not that interesting!

It is a shame we missed one another again though! We keep doing that! But the times I tried to pop over you were swamped with admirers!

Well done though, well deserved win!

Got some photos, saw some people (apologies I didn't see everyone and didn't get a chance to go FOD though) and got to sit in some cool stuff, and drove my friends Yugo yet again, I think I have a problem. Also thank you @Andyrew for leaving the toolbox next to the Audi! Just what I needed,

A great day out, thanks to Hagerty and all for organising it and to everyone else for bringing their cars along and being good company.

After the welcome sight of seeing a certain blue Marina estate when I was on the A14, the breakfast meet-up and convoy from Cambourne was a great start to the day. We ended up at the back so had the amusement of watching Wuvvum's 6 leaning dramatically on the bends and roundabouts.

IMG_6528small.thumb.jpg.03b6c8d46c67e7e429af2149a01465ba.jpg

My Sunny on its set of new tyres acquitted itself very well, despite having done some 9,000 miles in it since 2016 it's the first long-ish run it's done in my ownership and I was very happy with how it went.

IMG_6540small.thumb.jpg.fde6beca516e193bfdbd1650f054bb5a.jpg

An extraordinary range of cars to be seen. Very difficult to pick a favourite, sometimes it was the pairings that were particularly pleasing:

Excellent stuff, will attend again.
