Yikes! We had vehicles reversing towards a ditch at the Social, and it caused me a few heart-stopping moments.

I went to a show on Whitstable sea front a few years ago, we were reversing up to the edge of a steep downwards drop towards the beach. Someone in our group did stumble of their camp chair and tumbled down a way, luckily no cars went that way!

I was gifted a couple of flimsy metal shelving units last weeks. Bolted the two together and much more stable.

I can arrange my tools and spares neatly. The old wooden shelf is dismantled (the bare pine) and will be sawn into lengths to prevent things falling off the back.

I really need to rehome that vintage till (cash register). It *was* working a few years ago but the master key has jammed in the ‘locked’ position.

Pre-MoT on the C2 next week, and a service on the Mini after that.

This Jag cost £400000 to build, the owner wanted a car with classic style and engine but with all the modern features of to drive it to Switzerland, it has a 6.1 V12 engine and everything was custom built. Love it or hate it you have to appreciate the attention to detail. FB_IMG_1629134177212.thumb.jpg.58fa47e3501990ddba3e5240e1f709d8.jpg

This is a odd one, the story is that the car started life as a D reg RS Turbo hatchback but very early in its life its was crashed and everything swapped over to a brand new Estate shell by Ford to make the only RS Turbo Estate and registered as so by the DVLA and put on the private plate.?.

The Triumph Acclaim rear lights are a nice touch...

Some of you might already know of this. I didn't and it amused me.

I was watching the Guy Martin electric Beetle program last night and he turned up at Santa Pod to try it out. Suffering from excessive wheelspin they decide to lay down some glue to aid adhesion. They have a special vehicle for this.

The badge made me laugh. I had to rewind it to make sure I'd seen what I thought I'd seen. It's very well done, I can't see a join.

E10 has been used in the states for ages, no issues. Can’t see it being a problem. MPGs… meh.

I’ve just always wanted to try one, and now I have… there are other things I want to try too.. can’t have them all at once!

Recently had the windscreen replaced on the F150 due to a stone chip that turned into a long crack. Of course, the fitters at the bodyshop put the wiper arms back on skewiff, pointing up the screen.  The thought of removing the arms filled me with dread, as it’s about a million degrees C and 237% humidity at the moment.

However further investigation reveals that F150 wiper arms simply lock onto a large, non-tapered spindle with a small clip and can be on and off in a matter of seconds. Job done in less than 2 minutes, with minimal sweaty bastard points accrued. RESULT.

That old boy with the Escort tried to sell it to me 3 years ago for £3500. I think he’s the typical Stowmartian - a tiny bit simple who thinks things go up every year from whatever inflated asking price he began with.

It’s nice, but I’d rather jizz in my own eyes than give him £5500 for a MK3 Escort hatch.

Today's observation of stupid.

A van driver rolls up to a petrol station and fills up his diesel van (a modern Ducato) with UL95. The cashier informs him when he goes to pay, as they are surprised to see petrol being put into a diesel van. Chap pays, and is advised he should phone his breakdown service.

Shortly after, he fills up a 2 gallon can with diesel. Then pours it into the tank... "to try and dilute the petrol out".  His tank already being full, he succeeds in dumping 2 gallons of DERV mixed with petrol onto the forecourt, then sails off dragging it out onto the road for somebody else to clear up and/or slip on.

Do people not have any common sense and/or thought for others?

No, they no longer have that. The majority of people today are selfish idiots.

Anyone on FB might want to follow UK Barn Finds. Most of it is absolute bollocks and not barn finds at all.

Every now and then something like this turns up. No, not the car, look at the background.

I feel sorry for the Nova at the back. I had one of those (temporarily) as a second car. Pile of old shite it was, but fun.

Helped my mate strip down a Corsa VXR he's breaking just now.

It came in locked up so we were curious to see the problem.

Gearbox off and it looks like the dmf has seen better days...

Manifolds/turbo off and these valves look like they've had a bad day.

Well, that's not good. Let's pull the head off and see what we can find.

Ah.

S'fucked m8. 3 cylinder Corsa anyone?

Can I fix it? Maybe, can I fix it in the two days I have left in Dorset? Probably not.

Just got my second shot of vaccine, when I looked that sign wasn't there, camera wasn't able to see through it. I guess my x-ray vision is working now.
