Went to West Midlands Safari Park with nu_Mrs Grogee today. Was fun and I enjoyed this sign. 20260518_122353.jpg.b4f1a13d891b7b53c3c0859d13a190a9.jpg

How many working days have you left in May? Getting close to the mega milestone. If it clocks up by 31st May you can sling the Mr Bump car my way as a prize. You're bound to be passing the end of my Nottm street in June🙂

I'm a bit of a tart, available 24/7 to the first person to call!

Realistically 4 days left this week, 4 days next week (due to bank holiday). Will probably be something on for the Airbus factory on Saturday as they seem to always panic when a bank holiday comes up. So 9 days left? I'm on 496.4k at the end of today, so 3.6k divided by 9 = 400 miles a day. Definitely doable, I thought I had no chance of hitting the 500k in May, you seem more convinced though.

I'll deffo drop Mr Bump round if it comes to it.

We are now a two shambolic-Toyota family thanks to Jim Bell.

Drive home wasn't entirely problem-free (for either car) but we made it! Planning to tear into the Prius hybrid battery next week and see if we can revive it. Handily, I have EV Wales nearby.

Good man! I'm a full football 110% convinced you and the Caddy will clear the £500k in the next 9 working days.

£500k, wow that'll take some doing, its probably only generated about £250k income since I've had it.

I'll need to start doing some drugs, firearms or immigrant runs to make that money in 9 days!

Balls.
No fault codes though, so probably just needs a damn good thrashing.
In other news, whilst not obviously slipping the Alto has very definite whiffs of burning clutch plate about it, so I'll need to get that booked in somewhere before I take it to Scotland in 4 weeks.

Mats never seem to last long in the couriering Caddy, I get it, 80k miles a year is going to wear stuff out pretty quick. I'd used a cheap £12 set last year, no problems with them, they stayed still, but I'd worn a hole in them over time. So I upped the price and got some luxury 🤣 thicker £20 ones. They are shit, first impressions weren't good, I've got cornflake boxes in the kitchen that are thicker, but I gave them a go. Well 1 month later and they are worn out already and they never stayed still, every time I got in the van I had to line the poxy things up again, they are supposed to have an antislip backing, but it was as though they were lined with grease.

So back to a set of the £12 ones, that are now £13. At least they won't annoy me by moving around.

I did think about genuine ones, but at £130 I think I'll pass.

I’ve made a start on the 205’s list of MoT jobs by ordering some yellow headlamp bulbs.

Because French.

Has that got the keyless start with the twisting plastic ignition lock?

If so, I always found they could be very temperamental when the battery in the key fob is weak.

yeah it has that key

The factory mats in my 2012 Corsa had worn though by 20k. Never even saw the first MOT...

I really like them, but useless for illumination ( I did have halogen bulb yellow covers on the cx and 2cv until I broke one.) now have them in the traction.

That looks absolutely ace!

I am stupidly happy with it, and sometimes just go and look at it.

Ford have given up using VW EV platforms, probably for the best as they just seemed to make them worse, and have moved to Renault EV platforms.

They won’t be getting all that market share back though, times (and half the dealers) have moved on.

Those Tofas 131 things are weird as hell. Despite the Italians making a perfectly good 131 estate (which I recall had some wonderfully mad English name like ‘Weekend Panorama’ on its home market) the Turks seemed to have built a completely different one!

Also, is that a late Uno hatch panel they’ve used for the rear door?
