Except, that wasn't it. The 406 estate went to a shitist, and was replaced by this SAAB Which was pretty nice but I made a "I might be selling this" noise on facebook and it was snapped up by the owner of a chain of vape shops. It's now dead, Jim. I tried to replace it with this partner, but it was totally dead The engine was FUBAR. I also bought this: I then bought this back Which was amazing, but just too far gone for me to fix so it went back up to @DodgyBastard again. I'd love it back for another go at getting it roadworthy now he's welded it up, but I've spent all my spending money on other bits for the last few months so couldn't get it here. I then bought this Which was useful So useful in fact that I only had it three days as it was needed by someone with a dead focus. Then I bought this Which is more useful, but only when the electronics are not shitting themselves. After a full 6 months off the road, it's back on the fleet but still a bit broken. If I can get it sorted it'll be amazing. I then had an excellent fleet I was told I had to sell cars, so I sold the 206 GTI which was probably my favourite car ever, but not as practical as we really need at the moment. With the partner dead and 206 sold, we mostly relied on my 205 Which was unfair and has been pretty hard on it. It's currently off the road, needs a starter and probably a few other bits. To help take the strain, I bought this which was great once I put very grippy tyres on it, but I was getting 24MPG from it. We then tried to improve this with a six seater But the driving position was hopelessly uncomfortable and I couldn't put any kids in the front. WHAT IS POINT? After a bit of A framing, I finally got the tractor home and then moved the two hondas on. The whole time, my 405 has been sitting in Scary's yard. IN: 106, 305, TED20, partner, partner, CR-V, HR-V OUT: SAAB, 106, 305, partner, CR-V, HR-V, Still here: 405 estate; TED20; 205GR; Partner So I started the year with the ever present 405 estate, a tractor, a petrol 205 and a broken Peugeot Partner. I got the tractor running on New Year's Day, and quickly established I have absolutely fuck all need for a tractor. So off it went last week The Partner was doing a good impression of a mid 00s Peugeot with broken electronics, so for the springtime run to the Mediterranean I bought a Renault Trafic. It was fucking ace. Except for the fact it killed an injector 1000 miles from home leaving us stranded. We hired cars and flew home. Whilst in the hired cars, I went 1/3rds on this MI16. On our return I borrowed an ls400 from @sdkrc and a Mercedes-Benz from @Jim BellBellBellBellBellBellBellBel whilst deciding to go big or go home We bought a brand new car. It's ace. with that done, the untestable Partner was fucked off (it got a test the next day) and @jmsguzzi bought my 205. I then borrowed a Horizon for a bit And had a quiet month before being bought out of the MI16 and buying this Which I splunked money on, so roffled this: Which I must have bought back because I didn't have it at the start of the year. The Xantia kindly repaid me by killing the heater matrix. It's now donating it's organs to @Ged's 305. I've just bought this I've no idea why. The whole time, my 405 has been sitting in ScaryOldCortina's yard. In: 106, Trafic, MI16, Duster, Xantia, Express Out: 106, Trafic, TED20, Partner, MI16, Xantia, 205GR. Shite Ron Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Until a few weeks ago I thought I was doing well with one out: The Mondeo went in August after 11 years on the fleet. I was one down until a few weeks ago when I had a call asking if I wanted to buy a car I had wanted for many years! On Wednesday it was delivered: Also a couple of weeks ago there was another change to the fleet, wasn’t sure if company cars should be included as I don’t own them but they cost far more in tax than buying a car! Pikey truck out, milk float in: So numbers remain the same as this time last year but major improvement in two vehicles. LT84, Split_Pin, Matty and 14 others 17

Asked about getting parts off it and was offered the whole bike for £20 so bought it and stuck it on a slightly too small trailer along with my crap electric scooter. Sort of out. Crap electric scooter is technically still mine but living down at the FoD for the time being as I can see it being useful there if it can be made to work (quiet and slower than the others). JMotor Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 So much for getting rid. Ended up buying more, standard I suppose? IN. Toyota Altezza. Will likely stay for a while. That beams engine is rather addictive! Yet, it'll do car just fine. Aldi TT. Didn't plan this yin! CBA'd with it. Fur sell in new year. Stayin' put! The Opel (It's not a bloody BELMONT 😆) Astra. Had this for nearly ten years. 2023 I'll definitely knock some dust off it. Still hunting for NOS panels to fix it's rust issues. Corsa B. Welding stopped for now. Will crack back on soon. Nexia. Too handy to sell just yet. Little fettle of the mettal before test still to do. OOOooooT!! Awa tae f*ck. 306 Rallye. Loved this car. But wasn't using it a lot. So sold and now in Wales. Corsa B. Kinda doesn't count. As it was only ever a donor car to me. Vectra B. This still stings. I tried my best to fix it's rust issues. Alas, it was REALLY rusty. Broken for bits. Engine going in a Corsa VXR, trim went in a Supertouring ST200 and odds and ends kept for my other GM junk. So didn't die in vein. Rust Collector, Split_Pin, LT84 and 8 others 11

It is a 1982 model 2.0 GLS in Champagne gold with black vinyl roof and peat Chelsea cloth interior. Champagne gold is my favourite colour on these and the first mk5 I had just after turning 17 was a Champagne gold 1.6 GL. I was disappointed on collecting it from the auction to see it had grey interior not brown (Peat) but it was a great car. Of all the Cortina’s I have owned since none are Champagne gold until now. This has the full S pack with recaro’s and has factory fitted headlamp washers, maybe a useless addition but again a much wanted first for me as all the press cars had these and I think they look great. It needs a bit of work but is as close to my ideal car as I will ever find. I am very pleased with my early Christmas present to myself. I hope to give it a clean this weekend if I can get time between laying an engineered oak floor. Split_Pin, gm, rob88h and 18 others 20 1
wesacosa Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Ready to call this now despite a few temptation leading me to think a late addition could be on the cards. Don't want to tempt fate but no major issues so far. Some air getting in to the fuel system as it takes a few goes to start, think its from the O-ring on the HP pump feed. Really lovely car, I like it a lot 1998 Fiat Panda Few nice outings in the roffle win/ @spartacus Panda during the year but not moved as much as I would have liked . Survived MOT day drama when the gear linkage disintegrated en route. some rust proofing required over the winter ready for hopefully some more use next year. 1994 Skoda Favorit Sat for over a year now. Rebuilt suspension, engine mounts and rear brakes just before cold snap. Once coolant system is bled (front engine mount is integrated with water pump) its ready for an MOT 2005 BMW e46 M3 Started to use it again after 2 years of not really doing so. Still a lovely looking/sounding car but it probably needs to go to someone with a garage and less cars as the rust bubbles are starting to set in 1999 Westfield SEiW Nothing done this year. waiting for me to finish off the jobs I started during major recommissioning in lockdown (Note, dodgy number plate is not mine and is now with previous owner!) 1985 Sinclair C5 The bulk of the full strip and rebuild was done in 2020 but this year the finishing touches were completed. Needs a more permanent battery loom making I would say but other than that its done. god knows what I will do with it then but I like owning it but don't fancy going far on it Note: The photos of the Favorit and the Westfield do not necessarily represent the current status 😂 Sadly, thanks to the dictator Sadiq Khan, this is the last year of the fleet looking like this. Some or all possibly all will have to go next year, which upsets me greatly as I have put a huge amount of hours and money into the cars and really enjoy owning and driving them Coprolalia, mk2_craig, Shite Ron and 16 others 19

jmsguzzi Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Quite a busy year as usual… OUT: 1996 Jaguar XJR6, never meet your heroes, sold to @straightSixand converted to a manual. IN/OUT: 1990 Peugeot 205 GR, bought from @loserone, thought I’d enjoy it as much as the Inca but unfortunately I didn’t. OUT: 2000 BMW 528i SE, can’t remember which shiter I bought this off back in March 2021, was someone’s Dad’s deceased friends car I believe? I spent a fortune on it and kept it for longer than I have any other car. Great car but fancied a change. IN/OUT: 2007 Mercedes CLK 280, the 528’s replacement, nice engine, shit build quality, bit modern for me. IN: 1991 Mercedes 230TE, bought from @HMC, a car I’ve always wanted. Was planning on buying a ‘nice’ one but couldn’t pass this one up for the price, slowly improving it. IN: 1997 BMW 523i SE, originally bought this from @prepace back in 2020 and then stupidly sold it when I shouldn’t’ve. Managed to buy it back this year, have spent a small fortune on it already and will probably stupidly sell it again at some point, but it’s sticking around for now! Was going great til the gearbox gave up. Currently broken. Partners Civic still here, thermostats stopped working yesterday. Had a CV boot this year too. My daily: had a new crank sprocket and fan belt. Had about 3 years, cost £700. 220k ish now.. Fourtrak: Broke my hand and my bank account on power for the MiG. Still broken but shinier underneath than on top these days the old Bugs still here, still broken and less pretty than before. RoverFolkUs Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 This post will probably be worthless without pictures, but my computer setup is a complete clusterfuck so retrieving a few photos to post here would probably cause me excessive exasperation. Should I manage to find and post some up for the one-and-a-half interested persons, I will. Unfortunately I'm pretty boring so this will never top the impressive fleets above. Balance carried forward - - 2008 Ford Focus LX 1.6 - 2006 Ford Focus GHIA 1.6 Ti (in an unroadworthy condition) January saw me awaken the '06 Focus from it's 6 month slumber and, expecting the worst, punted it through a test. To my shock/delight (delete as appropriate) it actually passed without a single advisory. Nice. It was then promptly parked up for a further 6 months... April/May saw some more extensive mechanical work to the '08 Focus involving repairing it's power steering that the previous owner had managed to fuck up. Literally after I ordered the parts for '08 Focus, a rather nice looking Citroen Xsara Picasso that had only done 40k miles came up for £600. I absolutely had to buy it. So I did it was in a bit of a state but it cleaned up pretty well. Could benefit from some bodywork repairs which I'm still yet to get around to, but it's otherwise ok. MOT has now lapsed but I'm going to deal with that in the new year. It doesn't see a lot of use, but it's a useful thing to keep around. July saw 2008 Focus pass it's MOT. At that point I decided it was at the top of its valuation peak and I didn't need 3 cars so off it went. For a small profit, if I don't consider all the work it had, so probably more like a break even. Calling that a win anyway In - 2006 Citroen Xsara Picasso Desire 40k miles on the clock (I think from memory? Either that or less..) was only £600. Bought in absolutely terrible condition, missing the rear seats. Seats sourced, cleaned up. Now a fantastic car bar some slight body damage. Out - 2008 Ford Focus LX 1.6 Passed its MOT, became surplus to requirements. Cashed in on the OMGSECONDHANDCARPRICES nonsense earlier in the summer! Carried forward to 2023 - 2006 Ford Focus GHIA 1.6 Ti 2006 Citroen Xsara Picasso (in an unroadworthy condition....) I think 2006 Focus is most likely to get the chop. It's been with me since 2019 and hasn't really wanted for much but I think it's probably beginning to reach the end of its life, quite a few jobs mounting up. Nothing major but all stuff that should want doing. (Thermostat, alternator, cambelt/water pump, rear suspension fiddling, rear brake overhaul etc) MOT next month. So that will be the decider. I think the list above could be upto £4-500 in (decent) parts alone nevermind the amount of time to actually do it all. It cost me £750 3 + 1/2 years ago so the man maths aren't adding up... Picasso should receive attention in early 2023 to get it road legal and actually used again. It's unlikely to be going anywhere next year, so expect it to be carried forward next year as well! So started with 2 cars, bought 1, then sold another, ending with 2 cars. Various moderns(?) were offered to me including a Lexus IS200, Hyundai i30, MK5 Astra, and a Golf Plus to name a few but all were terminally fucked in their own ways so didn't bother and they went to bean cans instead. I'm not expecting any changes in the next fortnight, (never say never though) so I'll sign this post off for now! Split_Pin, Six-cylinder, UltraWomble and 3 others 6

brownnova Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 I’m normally an advocate of waiting until the 31st to declare… but I have absolutely no plans to have any further changes this year… Exiteers First out was the Elgrand… or at least it should have been. It shat it’s alternator belt within 500 yards when Howe came to collect, it left a few weeks later. Believe he’s moved it on since 2nd out was the MX5, I’m now MX5-less for the first time in a good few years! I just never gelled with this one. Then out went the winter beater Merc, which was faaar to nice to winter beat. When a friend needed a big auto at short notice this one went! Always wanted to try a brick Volvo, and I did, Loved it, probably shouldn’t have sold it… but I fancied a change. In-Migrants Replacement for the MX5, it’s a good thing, but not being used enough due to being 2 seats to justify it. Has been for sale, but as it’s a special edition is stronger money than a standard one, and this is the wrong time to be selling. Swapped my 940 for this! Perfect family wagon. Loving it so far. Remainers Longest standing member of the fleet, spent the first 7 months of the year standing due to a drive belt fault, but I decided to revive as a winter beater, before buying the XC90. Still love this car, one of the best I’ve ever owned! 2CV has just carried on going with no real attention at all. Other 2CV is getting perilously close to the road. It was supposed to be done before my daughter turned 1. She’s now 2 1/2 and we’ve had another one… who is one month of being 1 herself. So that timescale has slipped. Bonk the magic wagon had a good year, doing a few shows including RadWood, lots of family outings… off the road for winter currently, but was retired with a misfire, and may need a patch of welding before the next MoT. Jobs for the spring. Yugo progress has stalled… totally. That’s having two very small children for you! I’ll claim that 2023 is it’s year! Candidate in most likely to be revived in 2023 is the Nova. Still here, still brown, but deteriorating due to being outside. Have had it running, going and stopping this year, conducted a few checks and made a slow start on it. Needs doing. This is still here too. But it’s very firmly the wife’s The one that got away. An honourable mention to the one I most regret not buying- the Le Baron. I had first refusal, a very fair price and I turned it down and bought the MGTF… fool. grogee, Six-cylinder, AnnoyingPentium and 13 others 16
