Update on the Stilo.

The new bottle arrive yesterday via DPD.  Left a note on the order for the courier to leave in porch, if no answer. 

DPD ignored the note on the parcel and leaves it with my neighbours who then went out before I got back.  Also for some reason DPD left the front porch door wide open. Twat.

So today after alot of agro I've fitted the new bottle.  Had to replace the crap Fiat pinch clips as every one broke on removal.  Took forever to bleed it afterwards.  Also not impressed with the new bottle, definitely China shite not oe as described. Cap doesn't thread on nicely but least it's drivable again.

Still least it didn't rain!

Looks like the freezer has just decided to expire after 20 years of service. 

What makes me think this is the fact I've just retrieved a rather limp ice cream from it. 

Wouldn't be as bad if I wasn't meant to be going away tomorrow as well

Everything is partially defrosted and probably fit for the bin, as I'm not going to get it in another freezer by the time it's all warm

Curtain twitching cunt neighbour has decided to wage war on us for no reason, calling me and Speedy 'fuckin arseholes' to himself loudly, for having the gall to work on cars at my place at the weekend. We called him out on that and he din't have much to say but childish deflections.
Had a go at me last week for parking a car of mine outside his house for 30 seconds to move another, and just being incredibly petty and uptight over nothing, just appearing and telling us to leave whenever we do anything.
Even had the pettiness to pressure wash half the dividing wall between our properties a while ago.
We haven't washed our side.

We've done nothing, but we're being harassed and abused for no reason.

Stupid cunt today said to me 'what are you going to do, go cry to your parents?' he's at least in his 60s, what a fucking belm.

Needs taking down a peg (probably knows I'm an easy target) but need to work out how. I've had people fired on Equality Act grounds for less than this.

People fucking HATE to see people working on cars. Brings out the absolute worst in everyone and seems to be a magnet that attracts them over.

Lost count of the amount of times i've ended up in an argument with somebody because they've come up to me to have a go whilst i'm doing something,  Would understand if it was causing revving engines etc but it's usually completely silent and mundane like changing brake pads, and they'll wade in telling me to fuck off, go and get things fixed by a garage instead, saying i'm going to get oil everywhere etc, even when it's clear i'm not doing anything where oil is involved.

Neighbours are the worst though, always watching, and always, if you have to do something like charge a battery, they magically teleport outside at the exact moment you get the battery out to start making comments like 'Oh its broken haha, You don't half buy some shite' etc.

I was going to suggest that you resort to the standard response which is to refer them to the universally adopted test case of Arkell vs Pressdram 1972....

 

Or less subtly 

Just walk straight up to them. Get a little close, look them in the eye and say quietly, with a scarey insane look about you "Fuck Off, you total and utter Cunt. Don't ever talk to me again, you pointless shit. In fact..don't ever look at me again" 

Maybe do it with a hammer in your hand. 

I mean what's he to do.......

Strange.   Since we came back to the UK in 1978 I've never had anything like that happen.  Lived in three locations and none of the neighbours were at all concerned, other than some curious about what the problem with the car was, or to offer help and the loan of tools.

Not many on the street repairs these days but when it happens no-one seems to be bothered by it.  There are no garages around here so it has to be on the street.

Just spent nearly two hours digging through crap in the loft. 

I know beyond reasonable doubt that there is a box in there which contains a bunch of paperwork that was shifted in a hurry from my old desk when we were doing a pre-Christmas household tidy up a while ago, and I've just never had the opportunity to go properly digging for it.

Can I find it?  Can I Hell.  I wouldn't mind so much but a bunch of documentation that goes with a vehicle I sold a while back is in there, along with some stuff that I'd had to scan etc for someone else, which I'm basically just having to declare to be lost - despite the fact that I know that it's either within six feet of me in this room or in a box in the loft above my room.  I simply cannot actually lay my hands on the items in question.

It's a small thing in the grand scheme of things, but is *royally* pissing me off.

fortunately, he is a good egg and has promised to send it my way when it lands (unless it’s already been spent on shoes and handbags !) 

it’s refreshing to see that problems can be sorted out without getting all shouty and sweary, things do sometimes go wrong but it’s no one’s fault, time to get it fixed and get on with enjoying the car

This is a bugbear of mine, I keep myself to myself, I don’t go drilling and grinding till all bastard hours plus believe it or not it’s my fucking house so if I want to mend cars outside on MY DRIVE I will. 😂

I get that as well, when you are doing a service or something and you’ll get ‘have you broken it again?’ ‘No, I just like to keep my car serviced myself instead of getting my arsehole reamed at Kwik Fit to the tune of £500’ I just become facetious and tell them if only I’d worked as hard as them and was in the position to be getting bummed every month by PSA Finance. I get how it would annoy people if it’s in a communal area and if I was hammering hub carriers out of struts at 7am on a Sunday.

When I cut all my hair off a couple of years ago he made a really vile veiled comment, now I recall. No idea what his fucking problem is.

I’ve had that a few times before, they often change their tune if their car won’t start or they have a flat tyre. I’m always happy to help though. One old codger was always on my case moaning about everything. When he died his wife often came over and asked me to help with stuff. Before I knew it I was up a ladder on her roof moving the TV aerial around trying to get a signal. I’m not sure what was worse, the moaning or all the odd jobs I ended up doing.

We had this for several years with a n old git opposite.

They thrive on getting a rise out of you as their jealous that your capable of doing stuff .

Unfortunately short of moving only two things work.

As said  give the impression your mentally unstable subtilty is the key ( keep them unsure of what your likely to do) showing any sign that their your aggrieved by their behaviour is just what they want ( their controling your behaviour/ life).

The second will get howls of derision & only really works as a first resort.

Calmly  & without them being able to prove it make a serious threat in return  the one we IE neighbours were having was sorted for some by threats of serious injury to the bully that were not flights of fantasy type things  I'll have my gangster mate shoot you EastEnders bollocks this can be hard to make convincing if your not used to  doing this type stuff.

Don't bother with official lines plod, council,housing Assocs aren't interested all they'll do is give you incident diaries ,pacifing talk anything to get you to go away & bother somebody else.

If your not doing anything illegal, antisocial try your best to ignore them (IE do not engage in their games this is what they want)

Again it's hard like you I've had this all my life too don't want hassle just to enjoy my life & leave others to do the same , but it doesn't work for this type I can totally understand how some people end up going of the deep end & causing serious harm even death in these situations  others don't understand if they've not been through this sort of thing.
