Had a plumber round earlier. He opened a brand new tube of sealant, caulked around the bath and chucked the rest.

It's mine now.

I think I broke a world recoed today for quickest elapsed time between applying and being rejected for a job. Less than one hour.

Job was driving a class 2 delivering chilled comestibles. Submitted application - got a message asking about multi drop experience.

I explained I got my C+E and CPC in 2023 but not used it.

The end.

Neighbours of my mum had the builders in, they completed the work, and threw several 2400mm lengths of various timber and approx 2.5 cubic metres of sand in the skip.

Nearly killed me getting it all out again 🤣🤣

Drove past a field this morning near Galashiels. thought there was quite a sizeable fire. When we got closer, it was a heap of dung steaming. I’ve never seen so much steam coming off a dung heap.

I had a massive load of wood chippings dumped off by a local tree surgeon the other week, to put on our flower bed to keep the weeds down a bit.

They were stood in the corner of the yard on some concrete for about a fortnight before I started the task of shifting them. The steam and heat pouring off them once I started digging away was something quite intense! It was fogging my glasses up, they were way too hot to touch by hand. If I'd have know they'd get this hot I would have kept them further away from the house.

Amazing what a bit of bacteria and decomposition can do!

The wood chippings smelled absolutely lovely, I suspect massive steaming pile of dung (Rotherham?) was much less pleasant up close

There's a reason the SAS use dungheaps to keep warm.on exercises, and to avoid detection by tracking dogs.

I was in a pub called "The Reform Inn" last night and to my surprise it wasn't miserable, or full of impossible broken promises and blame games.

I'm noticing a new dimension in posh pub chips and I am absolutely 100% for it. Had these a couple of times in the last couple of months.

Rather than being square, the chips are sort  of "V" shaped, which gives them rigidity and lots of pokey edges to crisp up. They work fantastic at scooping up mayo/peppercorn sauce.

Absolute genius. Bravo. These are fantastic! I wonder how long they have been on the market? I feel like I probably had some a few years ago but didn't notice the shape, just the nice texture.
