The grumpy thread

My wife has been given days to live.

Diagnosed with Lung cancer in August, told there was 93% chance of success.

Operation was a success. They were right.

What they didn't mention and I've only just heard, was that at time of a Lung cancer diagnosis, there is a 40% chance its migrated somewhere else.

Stable door springs to mind.

I am so sorry to hear this. Nothing we can say can make this any better. You'll be in my thoughts.

Why the fuck do people even bother using Hermes?

I was in my living room.  No bell, no knock.  It would have been quicker if they'd just fucking delivered the parcel.  The lights were on, my car was in the drive...

It is almost unbearably hard, I went through it with my partner, but there is life afterwards although it may take quite a while for you to get there. It will be different.

Look after yourself and Mrs M

I'm so sorry to hear your news Mally, I lost my mum to a lung disease in 1986 , she was 49 , just make the most of the time you have left with her

My grump today was felling like I'd been run over by a bus , ache all over , throwing up this morning , in bed all day but it seems insignificant now

Very sorry to hear your news Mally (and Noel too).

It's a small group here but plenty of virtual support.
