  1. I'd personally rather have 'PEADO' spray painted on my front door, but each to their own. Isn't Ian selling one? Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah, sorry - it was the right car but the wrong time. Breaking up with my fiancée and moving out of the house didn't help at all, plus the driveway was quite unsuitable for jacking up/learning to weld. I did get it running (fairly soon after you'd left which was annoying!) and fixed a fair bit though, then sold it for a profit to that guy. Not sure it'll ever see the road again unfortunately. I did manage to drive it the furthest I ever did though, about 200 yards onto a low loader and never saw it again. I had also kept the wheel trims separate and sold them for some extra free profit. Was a pleasure to do business with you though, 10/10 would do again. Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk
  3. Hm. There may be commission for your efforts [emoji6][emoji23] Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk
  4. No, this is the one I got from JohnK a couple of years back (the one I took to Shitefest). Ghosty's old Prelude is staying with me. Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk
  5. Would help if I uploaded the final images. [emoji2357] I've also got some new alloys ready for it, just as soon as I get a chance to get some tyres on them! Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk
  6. Whoa, seven months and bugger all update. Well, the truth is that sadly this did take a bit of a back seat lately, buying my ex out of my house was a costly exercise and didn't really leave much room for frivolous purchases such as insurance, and I had somewhere safe to leave it for the time. I did get a spot in Retro Cars though about my two though which is neat. I even wore them as shoes, like I promised. It was much harder than I thought. Recently though, I had a bit of spare cash with not being able to go out, so I got it insured, and during a required visit to work, took the Prelude home and gave it a damn good cleaning. I wish I took before pictures, but I always forget to. However, it came up beautifully. I am planning to move the original prelude on, and put more effort into this one. 7. Oh shit, it's you doing it! I had no idea, I did say to the missus and the missus before I wanted to do a different car a month, but it had to meet a specific criteria each month (Italian, droptop, big engine etc). Best of luck, I'd subscribe to see it. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  8. Forgot to shamelessly self promote last month - probably too late this month...
  9. So today I had planned in for a while, to get the exhaust changed at my mechanics and to get both CV joints changed. He called me this afternoon to inform me not only had he managed to get these jobs sorted without any dramas, he was also able to get a last second MOT test done before I picked it up due to a last minute cancellation. Winner winner. The whole list of jobs cost the same as one CV boot change with t'other fuckwit. Bargainn Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  10. Stop tempting me!! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  11. I like how you were saying about you have enough small card and maybe a bigger car maybe a good addition to the fleet. And then you do this. Well played. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  12. So apparently despite this going along the line and it blatantly being some sort of manufacturing error, Evergreen tyres aren't interested as I didn't buy the tyres myself. Cocksacks. It'll have to be a part worn for now until funds improve. [emoji2357] Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  13. I checked it, there's a finger sized bulge on the inside. Knacked. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  14. They've quoted £500 for all the required work [emoji848] Taken it back, going to crack on with the jobs and the tame mechanic can bash out the CV boots. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  15. Well that didn't go exactly to plan. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  16. Not had much of a chance to do anything with this at the moment. Swapped out the rear speakers, exactly the same as my previous Prelude if you want pictures! Dropped off for a last second MOT, en route the Speedo was playing silly buggers more than normal, check engine light came on as well. [emoji2357] We'll see how this goes. 17. Results are in. 33 MPG. Not too bad. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  18. This is absolute testament to Craig and everyone else who has previously owned this car, you've done great work with it. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  19. You're not wrong there. This is a 26 year old engine - it has no business being this clean. All the fluids were perfect levels and crystal clear and absolutely nil concerns. Still, probably should have at least checked it before driving down the country [emoji2357] Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  20. Couldn't have been, I still have about 1.5 gallons left in the tank [emoji50] I didn't have a massive amount of traffic to contend with so it was fairly smooth throughout. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  21. Thank you all for the kind comments and company by the way, definitely kept me plodding on down south! This place etc Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  22. It was a long old poke, but it's all worth it in the end! This popped up on my phone while driving down. Stand down, autotrader app. Your services are no longer required. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
