  1. Pre accident this was a beautiful car, I will always remember shitting myself receiving the call from the lady witness at the scene on your phone, me arriving avoiding the traffic backed up by driving along the pavement in the capri caused some amusement though, that was your lucky night for sure bud,
  2. Steve will be orate riding in one with his knees around his ears ?
  3. Whilst replacing a Sierra fuel tank is easy, I recommend going for a new tank, they all rot out in the seam, I also suggest you have new tank fixings on standby, I usually replace with stainless nuts bolts and washers, you can still get the original type though
  4. Steve definately the right thing walking away, I remember the fight your tdci st put up against that audi and safe to say this one would be a final resting place if crashed with a big hit
  5. Put the engine and bits into a 1.8lx for shits and giggles but leave it looking pov spec
  6. Cheers mate, Yeah it has the later hooded dash
  7. Oh yes mate like when we went for a run in the manta and capri
  8. Its had a new timing chain kit and genuine ford MLS headgasket too, ive had an aftermarket hydraulic tensioner fail after less than 15000 miles destroying a cylinder head in the process, do you want to know something interesting about them they run pistons with small cutouts suitable for 16v heads, heres a pic which shows it
  9. Cheers mate, yeah she is a 2.0 DOHC

  11. Cheers mate I've not really been doing the internet over the past 12 months lol I have popped on here occasionally Im so glad I did the work, I'm very chuffed with how it looks again now On another note I've been running around in this little french plop for a few months while the saph has been in the bodyshop, a 1.2 sport what's sporty about it I definately do not know, it was nice and cheap, the only thing that's gone wrong with it was the key died so the uch didnt recognise the chip any more, I'm going to run it until the insurance is out then move it on
  12. Well guys 5 years of running this daily took its toll some bubbles were popping up so it was time for a refresh so I went mad with the grinder and a 1mm cutting disk, I've replaced the rear inner and outer arches, sill backs, strengthened and up behind the sill, repaired the 2 front wings on the leading edge under the bumper and under the trim where ford decided it was a good idea to leave a hole and they rusted and a couple more localised repairs on the rear panel and roof, I hadnt ground the welds on the repairs flush on the primer pictures, I got it back on Tuesday after building it back up
  13. Have you got 6 dial clocks? If so they dont have oil pressure lights due to having the pressure gauge, the plastic feed pipe connects to the engine in the standard pinto oil pressure switch location, on the clocks left light is for handbrake/low brake fluid and right is for alternator
  14. Well this ended sadly with me someone decided to reverse into it, so I decided to move it on, the damage was minimal but it's gone to a rover metro licker
  15. I got bought a Draper stormforce impact wrench to replace my aged one thats buggered, I've not used it in anger yet but it seems decent enough, I also treated myself to a nice 3" bore fron the turbo back stainless system for my 3 for sierra
  16. It's at least in the bodyshop ? but sierras are taking over
  17. Fantastic little project trig I do love a nice scorchio
  18. It was a great day Steve you smashed that speech off the cuff, do you know that's the second pic I've seen where someone caught me blinking I hope your photographer got one with my eyes open ?

I only use my local guy, his dad started the shop many years back I remember it always being there from when I was a little lad, always a competitive price and a very friendly service he knows who it is as soon as he hears your voice
  20. Cheers, i think it may have made the job easier to drop the mount on the drivers side but I didn't want to open a can of worms if I came across problems it's my only on road car at the minute as I've got the saph in bits at the moment
  21. Well funny story, I couldnt find one not even at applied radiators they didnt have a supplier apparently, so started googling part numbers, this tank is infact a tank listed for a 90-94 injection only, a chat with a metro licker confirmed the part to be right as for fitment so happy days
