WANTED: (somewhat urgently now)

Lada Niva 1.7i 95-98 I believe, ECU.  The one used on the cars with the single point injection.

I've ascertained that mine is useful as naught but a doorstop today, and is standing between my Riva and an MOT.

Wanted - Gunsons Colourtune. Had one of these for many years. Loaned it to a "friend" with a promise to bring it back in a week or two. Several years later, not seen "friend" or colourtune since. I know that these are old tech but so am I, and that they are still available but many ££££ new, and as it only got used once in a blue moon it is a lot to leave sitting on the shelf. I would like to set the carbs on my friends Spitfire, so would like one again if anybody has one they no longer use.

I'm sure I have one you could borrow! Same sort of deal as your mate but when I need a shot I'll come looking. Plans to put P6 back into action this year at some point ( means some time in the next 10 years).

Thank you, that would be great. I am breaking a '72 P6B Auto if you need bits....

I looked around for a while, cheap ones were always distant and collect only.

Bought a new one for £85, and a wiring loom.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-7-Way-Bypass-Relay-Towing-Electrics-Towbar-Wiring-Kit-/270841791873?hash=item3f0f6dc581

Car tow bar will fit estate, there is a bush or big washer one has and the other doesn't, but its simple to overcome, or throw away, depending which is which.

The back bumper was easy to remove, not so easy to refit properly.

Tow bar on in a couple of hours but I have a pit. Electrics are not my forte and took a little longer.

The back lights are a pain to get off without something breaking.

Cheers Mally,

might be the road to go down, or buy an entire car with one attached to satisfy the urge for fresh chod ;)

Once again I am in search of a Jag, no sorry I mean a Jaaaaaaag. I'm sticking with the mantra of 4.0 straight six is best. Two are on the wish list, which I'm struggling to find anywhere. I really would love a XJR6 (X300) before they become unobtainium. Unless someone sees one that has hasn't been got at by a dealer yet, I fear this is unrealistic. The sensible* and more realistic target is a X300 4.0 Sport, although even that is proving difficult.

If you see/hear of/have one of the above do let me know.

Anyone need a Rhino modular roof rack for a Citroen Relay?

Huge thing - I don’t know what years it’ll fit (it’s on my 2016/65 L2H1 but they didn’t change much over the years)

They’re about £600 new - sensible offers waaaay under that will be more than likely accepted

I’m in Gloucester and a hand removing it would be appreciated

Hope this is ok here, I wasn't sure if this was just for car stuff or if anything goes! Mods plead feel free to delete if not suitable.

HiFi furniture for sale.

The TV stand came with an old CRT telly (since deceased) but I kept it as it has handy shelves for DVD player and set top box, and a quite decent centre speaker (gr8 4 home cinema). It looks a little tired and the black trim is coming away in parts. £10.

The glass HiFi unit is pretty good, no obvious scratches but there are some bits of old stickers on it. I just put them at the back so you can't see them. £15.

fa6972ab67ea3d4b5b50b24f53076232.jpg

Let's say £20 for both.

Located near Brighton, will need collection as they are definitely too big and bulky to post! The HiFi unit comes apart for easier transport.

Also pictured in use so you can have an idea of what they look like in service.

Anyone in the general vicinity of Milton Keynes/Buckingham/Oxford etc got a smallish trailer I could borrow for a few days at some point in the not too distant future?

I need a load bay no smaller than 9 3/4' by 4 1/2' - and a ramp would be helpful to get the load in/out.

Needs to have a maximum rated weight LESS than 1150kgs so I can tow it with the Xantia legally...only actually needs to carry around 300kgs.

Will be looking to hire one if nobody has one, but figured I'd ask here first as I'd rather give a real person money than some faceless company if I have the choice.

Blaupunkt Bristol 27 FOR SALE! And some speakers FOUR of them

I'm looking for £25 for the whole ICE system if anyone here fancies it before I E the Bay.

There's a Blaupunkt Bristol 27 on eBay for £70 at the mo, so if £25 is too cheap you could always bung a bit into the forum fund. Or if it's too expensive you could make me an offer. Comes with 4x speakers: 2 are Blaupunkt and 2 are Panasonic.

The stereo works fine, it's a manual am/fm/lw tuner, and a stereo audio compact cassette tape deck which has one button that you press for fast forward and press again to stop fast forwarding. It's got an eject button that ejects the tape. It's got an on/off/vol knob, a tuning knob, a tone knob and a balance knob, and lights that light up. All appeared to be working fine when I took it out recently to replace with a more upmarket stereo. The speakers are scruffy and untested but I recently bought them off Autoshite as working so assume they're good.

I can post it all or can be collected from near J6 M25 Kent/Surrey.

Here's the stereo:

So there you go. Four knobs and a pair of Bristols. £25. Ayethankyou.

Ive got this really bizzare french made Rapido 1978 fold away caravan that i didnt really get on with as we tend to do short breaks where less setting up hassle is desired, so i'm hoping to recoup some of the money i put in when i was naive and over excited about it.

I shall list the features that i can remember as it was last august when it was used for the first and last time thus far.

Aluminium clad plywood shell that origami's into a matchbox shaped trailer

Folded away dimensions : overall length 3000mm, box length 1950mm, width 1500mm.

Unfolded dimensions with is perpendicular to the trailer centerline : caravan shell length 3600mm, Width 1950mm, Height from memory i could stand up full inside so i guess it was internally 2000mm headroom tapering off to the ends

Min weight 375KG, Gross weight 495kg

Potentially 4 berth as it had beds that took over both ends of the van but i didnt investigate the plywood shelf/table/bed base combo out too much just instead had a mattress set on the floor.

It has a table that raises up from the main bed base and the benchs either side end up with foam bolsters that form a sort of mattress also albeit i chucked the air bed over all that

Also has a sink and gas hob and a sort of cabinet pair that hangs on the wall brackets i didnt bother with the sink as it isnt connected, it has no electrics either as they werent in the condition i was happy with.

bad points:

The box on the front wants removed, stamped flat and thrown a fair old distance

Its a 2 person job to lift the clamshell up and over

No electrics in effect

cooker and sink connections are ancient/bodged

missing abit of timber/ply board that holds the cooker sink cabinet up

Roof joint requires a better method of clamping as i broke it when folding away so may leak till that is fixed

the curtains and seat covers are ancient and not great

wants a good clean although its certainly not unpleasant, more a sort of stored dusty sort of effect than child seat and sticky sweets.

No spare wheel, 4x115mm pcd 10" rim with 25mm offset is proving impossible to find

Rear lights missmatched but work

good points:

Brakes work well albeit briefly chirp the tyres if braking hard.

lightweight thus small cars actually can tow it.

chassis is galvanized and is in mega condition.

I fitted new 500x10 crossply tyres in august as the mini radials were in poor condition and made it fairly wayward however they are Tube type rims so have tubes in.

All of the alloy faced plywood is in great condition as is the doors and windows

I couldnt find any evidence of damp and it didnt smell of anything

Has a decent enough cover but needs a hole cutting to expose the rear lights and number plate as i had to roll it up at the back.

Im hoping for £350 but not obsessively chasing that much

If you do farcebook then there are a couple of closed groups that specialise in folding campers / caravans, a few run businesses buying and selling, not full of the usual fwits.

FL I never thought to try the facebook group, thanks for that reminder, SCC i had a look at those Esterel jobs, they look like a neat solution with the one piece roof I should imagine they are fairly rigid.

Apart from the setup hassle its mainly going to fund the mot jobs on the aforpictured skoda as my smart price bank balance cant cope lol

***BOTH SOLD!!!***

Coupla shite Sony X-Plod head units for sale; boxed, complete and with only a few hours use on both.

I've admitted that realistically I'm never gonna use them, and it's better to rehome:

1.) Sony XR-CA370X Cassette/Radio

I had this installed (briefly) in my Cortina estate about ten years ago, before upgrading to a Blaupunkt with a 3.5mm line-in for iPod use.

Scratch on left side of the detachable faceplate (as seen in pic) but otherwise as new and working fine last time I checked (last August, in the Laguna). Manuals, connectors, removal tools all in place. Works with a compatible CD changer, apparently!

Shiter's price: £15 posted to a UK address of your choice

2.) Sony MDX-F5800 Minidisc/Radio

For the ultimate in late-90s/early 2000s ICE - it's a Minidisc player! Oh yes. Phenomenal sound off this one - it has a selectable soundstage function that can make it sound like the speakers are right in front of you, rather than in the door cards - it's genuinely weird (in a good way) to toggle it up through the different positions and hear the speakers 'moving' up.

Detachable, flip-down faceplate with all connectors, manuals and removal tools (but oddly not the outer installation cage - may* have left that in the Escort accidentally). Also CD changer compatible.

Last used c.2006 in my Escort (briefly), but then I only had about two Minidiscs, so not much point in me having it, really.

Shiter's price: £20 posted

***Both units for £30 posted!!!!***

PM if interested in either/both (I know responses can get lost in this thread, so I won't be ignoring you!)

Ah, I see (having looked up the news).

Having said that, do you work 7 days-a-week every week? Plus a quick phone call would of answered the availability and access issue - I've had them pull parts before when they've either been too difficult to reach or I'm too lazy to.

I do know what you mean about it taking days to get round the county though! :)
