Why haven't you got a disabled  bay  painted in the road ?

Edit  ah just looked it up ..bad luck . Didn't realise  , although rude , anyone can park in a disabled bay !

Like I said earlier in the thread - bubble wrap the other cars.

Didn’t know where to post this but just for future reference, a Peel P50 fits inside a Kangoo 👍

It's bad enough that Peel make P50s; are you telling us there's some sick puppy out there making counterfeit P50s?🤪

I *think* this is the first time I have been papped by someone else since REV's return, but I do realise that although many people have photographed her, even if those are posted online, theres no guarantee I can find them, because unless the poster does their research, they are likely to have no clue what REV is! as the tweet above aptly demonstrates!

Best bet is to do a google image search every so often, it's pretty good at ferreting out similar pictures.

A search for the reg plate works well, since it can detect that from the photo.

very cool shot, no not one I have seen before :) its a Petrol Tippen Delta 5, I love the GB sticker on the back, indicating that its likely(?) been abroad! I wonder if the exact location can be tracked down for a today comparison shot/something to try and recreate with REV :)

The place shouldn’t be too hard to work out if you can find the number 15 East Ham route around 1966?

Shame all those girls are in the way of the RMs reg. It could be RML 2760 seeing as it's on the 15. It spent its whole working life at Upton Park but would not have had any distinguishing features that early on (I'm guessing late 60s/early 70s by the general vibe. Somebody could probably date the Imp by the trim but not me.

Weirdly a Google image search brings up this very similar but different picture.

GRCBMJGX0AARcJN.thumb.jpg.50cf71360174d19598b29263550c169d.jpg

Again, some women in the way of the reg (and admittedly a taxi) and its not an RML but it does seem to have the same Typhoo advert. This is titled shoppers in Oxford Street 1966 which would rule out RML 2760.

I've never seen the rear adverts on the first picture. I can make out the GB but not what the rest says, which is why I was hoping to find a higher res version. It could have been from one of the many foreign jaunts, marketed as publicity trips, that they sent Routemasters on at the time.

Also Bond Microcar?

Imp is probably in Glenalmond Green - apparently inspired by Sir William Rootes love of Scotland - in 1946 he'd bought an estate at Glenalmond in Perthshire - and probably in acknowledgement of the car's Scots manufacture.

With the side-trim possibility a Singer Chamois.

Is the London to Brighton going this year still? Rev would be good for that surely? Even if you  make friends with the really slow car crowd and sit with them for the day there and back 😂

No. Not a Bond.  It's a Reliant Regal MKV or VI, probably a MKVI because the visible fraction of the windscreen looks deeper than on a V.

had another run out in REV today :)

IMG_1739.thumb.jpeg.b41a33871a7cbed2eb500fad6a83527b.jpeg

this was another run to Wanstead and back, up-n-down the A12 as I have some longer trips planned, involving dual carriage ways and motorways and I wanted to do another fast run in REV on a known route for a few reasons, main one was test out this Bluetooth speaker I bought from amazon for £18

IMG_1742.thumb.jpeg.658b90c43a245a8ccbfdaf0fe5b26134.jpeg

which im pleased to report works well so I now I have workable navigation aid at speed (as well as some ICE now I suppose!) :) as an aside if anyone finds that 10 pence coin around there lemme know, it slid off the dashboard and out a gap in the door during some enthusiastic cornering....

IMG_1743.thumb.jpeg.c5245ad1375789723947c499dd47e49b.jpeg

im pleased to report REV herself handled the run without issue, which was the other reason for the run, just to gain some more experience in fast running and make sure REV is still happy with it as well, the only thing I note (and also from the last 50Mph run I did) was you do get a smell of hot drive belt after a while, but I do know in general the system is somewhat lossy, so perhaps thats normal? (I will say, I am not sure if REV's drivebelt has ever been changed in my ownership, so that is something I would like to do at some point just for reassurance sake)

IMG_1744.thumb.jpeg.6c6ff137664f0e6de9c1af6dfe4c221f.jpeg

stopped by the chippy on the way back home as it has been a while since I did a chippy run :)

IMG_1749.thumb.jpeg.0c7806d2286cdf6ff31e71f2d32c8ca6.jpeg

the Curry hooks do work as intended, although ill probably keep to stuffing it behind the seat where it can be kept warm by the drive train :)

IMG_1747.thumb.jpeg.5711cf6dfc33e5c6ce5d1886c12c5a49.jpeg

soon was back home with more miles covered, not far off 200 miles from when I first got REV back in 2019 now!

IMG_1751.thumb.jpeg.015773f3678914708ee6f7c3967d04e7.jpeg

as an aside while coming off of the A12 (going past the "No Invalid Carriages" sign  ) I met so to speak a German Registered 1980's looking Mercedes 408D camper van, whom the people upfront in it where super excited to see REV with the driver franticly trying to get his phone out to photograph her (although the lights turned green so I had to leave them behind, I hope he got his photo still!) I have to wonder if they might of thought I was @dollywobbler or such, or maybe they where just happy to see another older vehicle like theres :)

kinda catch 22 aint it, since that would be admitting breaking the law, unless you have a private bit of land long enough for one of us to try on? :)

speaking of Catch 22, how is the seller expecting to sell it if they wont accept messages? I did not even know you could block all messages like this!

although some fitting comments on FB regarding it, regarding top speed :)
