It’s £2.10 in my local...

You must live somewhere fancy, OSH and Hobgoblin are £1.50 in our local.

No there’s no Wetherspoons for about 6 miles. It’s in the Working Men’s Club up the road, which has a flat roof.

I can have a clean windscreen again!

Old jets were fucked, seized into place and even dunking them for 12 hours in neat limescale remover had them working like this

£3.95 later...

And 5 minutes of fitting and adjusting at lunch time and

Woah, perfect! Lobbed a slug of washing up liquid in there whilst it's still warm to clean it out, will drain it over the week and refill it with decent screenwash! I can see again. New wipers probably wouldn't be the worst thing to buy before winter too, the back one is starting to split...

This was going in a skip this morning.

My clients were more than happy to load in my van.

In other news my new French plates arrived.

So off with the wanky fake yank plates and on with the new :)

For a cut-price catalogue return, this thing is brilliant! Will definitely make my life easier in the future.

Its looks like a childs toy where you press a spring loaded button and a Mondeo fires out of the front of the camper body.

My boss has just pulled me into a room - I assumed it was to tell me off for something but apparently I've had a promotion - hadn't applied for owt, it was decided on by senior management.  Comes with a £2.5K payrise as well which will be handy.  :)

You should buy something to celebrate. Like a 1973 Suzuki GT250 for example.

Does that propel you into senior management (and all the baggage that comes with it)?

The payrise means more capacity for extra shite.

Ooh, I do like those.  Can I ride it home, and is the inside of the fuel tank OK?

Top shiting from a girl I work with! She's always been a "I want to live in a van and travel the country" type, but I always took it as the usual noncommittal bollocks people come up with at 19.

"I've bought a van!" Oh dear.

That's levels of grim that I can only dream of achieving! But it gets better!

Those seats!

It actually looks surprisingly tidy for a sub grand camper! She's planning on hand painting it in proper new age traveller style. Unfortunately I think the seats are getting the chop, which is probably for the best. The idea of her driving it amuses and terrifies me though, given she dailies a 9n Polo...

Brilliant, FL junior (age 17) is planning on building something like this with his Grandad as soon as he's got an income (Grandad built his own about 15 yrs back based on the Merc 612/711 7.5t van )

I've been eying up big Merc/Iveco vans/midibuses on eBay. Both mrsREB and I have grand dreams of travelling the world in a motorhome. Shame we're skint, but we're working on that.

I'd probably avoid driving through Iran. Or Syria.

By the time we're in a position to do it it's more likely we'll need to avoid America the way things look like they're going

Just go full Spaceballs and make a space faring winnebago, you'd be better off.

I went to the company social tonight. Usual company policy of an open bar and free snacks certainly help numb the injury pain. Also Mrs SiC wasn't even annoyed that I said I was going last minute. Admittedly I only have two pints, so left at a reasonable time. I should go more often!

Is probably the best £10 I've spent in Halfords because of this:

My black trim is now actually black and not a faded greyish white!

It's good but it only lasts about three or four weeks for me

For how good it looks I really don't mind. Some of the surfaces were very porous so at least they will have soaked some of the stuff back in.
