ROFL in euros but thats still 1.52

dizzle at dublin port was 1.95

But it can't be.  Everybody knows that the high price of fuel in the UK is due solely to Brexit, so it's impossible that prices are even higher anywhere in the EU.

Tax a litre of petrol is approaching 60% in ROI.

However, it's almost always been not far off what's going on in the UK. Either cheaper or dearer slightly.

The border garages would always do well depending on the exchange rate and the price of fuel one side of the border or the other.

My other half is saying the Polish news is saying they're getting loads of cross border trade as Diesel was about £1/l there now. Cheaper then Germany and Czech.

A fb memory from seven years ago. An mx-5 I had swapped for my metro.
I then swapped the mx5 for my favourite ever car. An S70 t-5 in metallic charcoal grey. I wished I'd kept the fucker.

It looks like that mx5 hasn't had tax or test for six years. I wonder what happened to it.

Maybe the Dutch have left the EU The price of petrol(95) is around +2.00€ per litre (higher the grade the higher the price)and diesel is 1.86€

Here in Spain it depends on the region as some add taxes to the costs. This article from 6 days ago says the petrol is 1.52€ and diesel is 1.42€. The way things are going those figs are out of date. Wages and pensions here in Spain are a lot lower then say Northern Europe and they are really  feeling the squeeze.

We are all in the same boat in Europe, prices of petrol, food, gas and electric are all going up. Yet some British newspapers are in denial of this.

My neighbour’s pop up headlight model hasn’t moved since he moved in. Five or more years. He’s had it from new and it’s low mileage.  It’s under a cover now.

What makes me laugh.

Boris, he's the clown of the circus still playing the act at 10.30pm after everyone's gone home. Every time I see him I have clown music playing in my head. Representative of the entire UK. Thanks for that Boris.

I absolutely hate the cunt.

WTF? Is this the very best we can do?

Get the cheating lying cunt out of there. A hard drop-kick punt up the arse, along with arrogant ignorant Rees-Mogg who looks like something out of The Beano.

It gets very depressing but we can only move forward, these juggling nobbers have had their day.

It's Spitting Image but for real, we don't actually need Spitting Image at the moment. Scary times, something to look back on as a warning. It's laugh or cry.

This lot are so bad that it's impossible to satirise them without overdoing it. In the most recent Spitting Image run, I was struck by the fact that the Priti Patel dummy was actually less unpleasant and sinister than the real thing.

Last night on the news there was Cressida Dick, Priti Patel and Sadiq Khan together.

Never thought I’d feel sorry for Cressida Dick.

I've just been and had a bail out.

According to the Mrs, doing it at this time of night is "animalistic and unsavoury"

What would be her alternative suggestion?

Hold on to it probably.

Or sneak off and do it in a hole in the garden.

I did genuinely grin when my S211 Mercedes swallowed this pallet with room to spare. 😁

Grandfather STUNO took a little trip to UK in 1951, he bought 2 new cars to ship back to NZ as Tourist baggage . they were a Jowett Javelin and a Vauxhall Velox.

Today I found his diary......Friday June 8th 1951 :  Waited in for car (Jav) in pm . It arrived about 5pm and papers signed. Just left it locked up outside flat (Eaton Gardens London) and went by bus to Charing cross rd. Took it to Brighton on the Sunday. Next trip was to Guildford on the 20th to visit grandmothers family who still live there . Then on Sun 1st July it broke down and was taken to Clarkes Garage in Purbright, it was delivered to Guildford on Monday morning. Went for 1000 mile checkup on Friday 20th of July . They later took it to Spain and back. His impression of the Javelin was all positive.

Monday 23rd July 1951: Went to Vauxhalls and squared up for the Velox. AA driver brought it home for us. Went for drive in Velox to Esthers (his sister) after tea , very lively car.  It seems the Vauxhall agent in Guildford then put it in storage for later shipping.

I don't remember either car in NZ as they were to be sold (at  a good profit probably), but I do remember many enjoyable trips in Grandfather's  1951 Humber Super Snipe around NZ.

Made me grin, who amongst you know exacty what hour of what day 70 years ago vour Grandfather got his new car !

I finish work in 50 minutes and I'm off Sunday too. I haven't mentioned this to my work colleagues every 10 minutes at all.
