I'm so thrilled about this little piece of paper.  It's rather silly I suppose.

Watching QI and I just heard Alan Davies use the term "keep fit windows" :)  Is he secretly one of us?

Was it this which had a flipping fate-O last year as an advisory?

That was the rover wasn't it?

DodgeRover is correct.

Possibly more suited to Barry Boys than here, spotted in Asda car park this morning:

Not sure if that's a curtain pole or a towel rail. Either way they'll drag on the floor.

Is it for tying your horse to?

Is it just me

Or does anyone else want a wake as well?

It’s not just you.

Made me grin.

My mum worked in a hospital, and had oldsters come in clutching cordless phones thinking they'd work miles from home.

Picked up a telly from Facebook marketplace and so I was able to start the bank holiday with a bit of early old new Top Gear in bed.

God I love those Daihatsu Wake adverts!

Right, off to cut the roof off Mrs P's Fiat so I can stand my golf bags up in it

Today, while browsing the eBay tat/ 'bargains' threads, the phrase "Anchan, what are you doing?" insists on barging its way to the forefront of my mind...

Not without good reason.

Every time I follow one of these, I think the owner must be a cockney

They've been around a while, I think it was an answer to people using the work license get around after loosing your normal driving license for drink driving.

Aus is big with pretty much no public transport out of urban areas, not being able to drive and living away from a city means you are well and truely screwed without transport.

I am told by a friend*  that away from urban areas the rules on driving are not strictly enforced so not having a current licence etc is not a problem, not that I'd ever use a motorcycle licence and get a job driving an HGV.

From what I've very briefly just seen on the internet, MOT exemption is going to be banned for all recovery trucks from May. Can't come soon enough and will be one in the eye for all those bent bastards who lie about exemption.

I'm currently in Chesterfield hopefully picking up a new daily.

Also I got to meet Mr B earlier and had a ride in that 45. Excellent.

So at least the recovery truck that's picking up my woefully unsafe car from the side of the road after my seat falls through the floor will be legal.

Good to know.

It also depends on the state.  WA and Queensland are particularly lax.  There's no MOT in WA so you see three year old cars with bald tyres.  Although they make a big song and dance about drink driving and have 'booze bus' check points where they test everyone if you get caught its a slap on the wrist, like a $130 fine.  Repeat offenders can avoid a ban by claiming they would lose their job and the very worst are given an E plate that allows them to continue pissy driving indefinitely.  And yes, more than 50kms from Perth none of this matters anyway.

Much as I love Australia their driving and vehicle rules are shit.
