Fingers crossed for Mrs Eddy, anxious times.

It's also our wedding anniversary today, 23 years.

I've phoned the hospital.  She's had some tests and is awaiting the results, ring again in about an hour.  Thanks for the reactions, everyone.

For some reason I read 'welding anniversary' and I thought that was cute and romantic.

Went for a bike ride up to Happisburgh today, first time I've been there in a while.  The clifftop path looks a little* different to when I was last there.

This WW2 pillbox is probably going to be in the sea within a couple of years.

Just over an hour ago I saw MrsR off in an ambulance with chest pain.  In another hour or so I can phone the hospital and see how she's doing.

I'm bricking.

All the best and warmest wishes to Mrs_Ramrod. Here’s hoping she makes a swift recovery!

Well I've collected her.  She's been prodded and pressed, and blood has been taken.  Now she's whole and in pretty good spirits.  She actually has an appointment there tomorrow for something else, and I can foresee more in our future.  We won't know what actually went wrong for a while, I suppose.

Thanks again everyone, your support is priceless.

I barely use my car these days but a while back before I got the tracking done I had one of my back tyres resealed in Birmingham as it had a tiny slow puncture in it and it turned to be this. The tyre has held up well but today upon checking the pressures, I noticed the other back tyre was pumped up to over 47 PSI! All the other tyres were all uniformly around 33 PSI, I also checked and rechecked against all tyres in case I had any issues with compressor reading.  Anyway. Its now been depressurised to correct pressure but I think some new rear tyres are in order anyway.

I'm still after a replacement matching wheel for the Peugeot and might have spied one so hopefully a purchase there can be made.

Had a little tinker with the latest arrival today, and found that happily, the cd changer wasn't fucked, it just needed the one disc in it to be pushed back into it's carriage.

I feel your pain, Once had the entire dash apart on my Cavalier as the heated rear window wouldn't work after I'd changed some back-light bulbs only to find it won't switch on until you actually start the engine, not just with the ignition fully on..

It's census day.

Anybody struggling with this question?

Mrs_b said “you do realise we’ve just pushed the average car ownership up... for 9 households who don’t have a car they now do have a car on average”

Anyway, I could easily count mine in my head, I’d hate to see the cylinders or Saabnut’s answer to that one!

I was about to post this, when you enter the true number it turns red and says you cannot enter more than 20!
It has forced me to lie.

Fortunately* Scotland has postponed the census to next year (Queen Krankie has to be different) so I have a year to work it out!

420 prepped for tomorrow's MoT. Naturally it threw a spanner in the works by going all hinky-electricky on me. Checking the lights but as soon as I flicked the switch, engine cut out and the hazards were all over the place. Turns out my ham-fisted attempt to replace the earth cable (the one I snapped when slamming the bonnet down on it) had not gone to plan. All sorted, washed, tyres pumped up, given an illegal run around in the cul de sac to check brakes okay, fluids checked, lights checked. Good to go. Could well fail on a couple of rolling advisories, but fingers crossed as it's only done 2,600 miles since the last test....in May 2019.

I really miss driving this one.

Turns out you "can" tow a Mondeo estate for 3 miles with a 1.25 fiesta, I'd strongly advise you against doing it though !!!

Just off to change my underpants !

you should have seen if there was a support number you could have called and asked them about it LOL

id love to hear the bafflement of the IT guy who coded the limit "what do you mean someone has more than 20 cars!"

(makes me wonder what happens if you put more than 20 on the physical survey, will the clarks who enter the data into the computer run into the same problem? LOL)

Just to show that using an American full-size as a daily is possible and will fit in Aldi's car park*

*providing you have a clear space either side 🤣
